The Grapevine is a popular breakfast/brunch spot open from 7AM to 3PM. It's recommended to go early to avoid a wait. They offer traditional American & Mexican breakfast dishes, as well as pancakes, french toast, and have many gluten-free alternatives.

Local microbrewery offering pizza, burgers, and seafood dishes. Offers beers such as the Speckled Trout Stout, Tidal Wave Wheat, Raspberry Wheat and Kemp's Ridley Bock.

PAINTED MARLIN GRILLE

An open-air restaurant on the bay offering seafood and cocktails, with dishes like Peanut Butter Thai Shrimp, Blackened Redfish Fillet, and the Chipotle-Mahi Guava Bowl.

One of the most highly rated restaurants on the island (according to Google Maps), this steak & seafood restaurant combines elements of a casual yet elegant dining experience.

YUMMIES BISTRO

A popular breakfast spot serving egg dishes, pancakes, coffee, in a strip-mall setting with a casual vibe. The Spanish Macchiato is beautifully crafted and the "Happy Eggs Benedict" are a cute and delicious dish.

Family-owned Italian restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. The wine menu includes Italian, French, Argentinian and Chilean wines.

There are many nightlife options within walking distance of the condo. Tequila Sunset is close by. Like it's namesake, a great spot to watch the sunset while sipping a cocktail. Sometimes they have live music, DJs, and dancing.

CLAYTON'S BEACH BAR

Clayton's claim is the "biggest beach bar in Texas." They also have beach volleyball, and sometimes have outdoor concerts/DJs.

Overlooking Laguna Madre Bay, Louie's backyard has a Seafood Buffet, Surf N Turf food options, and fireworks on Thursdays and Fridays at 9:15 PM in the summer. On Tuesdays at 7:45 they have a Hawaiian Luau, and on Wednesdays at 7:45 have a live Mariachi show.

LAGUNA BOB

A waterfront deck offering food, drinks, and sometimes live music. Close to SPI Water Rentals, this also makes for a fun place to visit during the daytime. Their live music lineup is listed at http://lagunabob.com/live-musiclineup/

Live music & dancing. You can view the concert schedule at https://islagrand.com/thequarterdeck/. They have live sports broadcasting as well. Wednesdays you can wager on the hermit crab races. Open until 2:00 AM daily.

Our go-to place for Turbo Piña Coladas. A fun place to go at night, but also a fun spot during the daytime. Known for their boiled and fried shrimp.

SEA TURTLE, INC.

This sanctuary rescues sick or injured sea turtles on the island and rehabilitates them. You can see the turtles in recovery, as well as some of the older (and huge!) sea turtles that were unable to be returned to the wild. This facility also has educational talks and a gift shop.

SOUTH PADRE ISLAND BIRDING AND NATURE CENTER

This facility has 3300+ feet of boardwalk, a five-story viewing tower, The non-profit birding center provides tours and educational opportunities for those interested in learning about Padre Island's diverse bird population, migratory birds, and there is also an alligator sanctuary.

DOLPHIN WATCH TOUR

South Padre is home to several pods of bottle-nose and spinner dolphins year-round. Tours can be booked through theoriginaldolphinwatch.com or through Viator and are $15-$18 per person. 3-hour snorkeling trips can also be booked through this company.

LAGUNA MADRE NATURE TRAIL

A free boardwalk path in a four-acre nature reserve. Migratory birds, turtles and crabs can be spotted. Parking is available at the convention center, the trail begins behind the Whaling Wall.

ISLA BLANCA PARK

This beach park is located on the southernmost tip of South Padre Island. There is beach access here, a water park as well as many recreational opportunities: Surfing, parasailing, fishing trips, etc.
