GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS According to the Common Order of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Internal Affairs no. 30/1/07.01.2022 on the establishment of the mandatory wearing of protective masks, epidemiological screening and mandatory disinfection of hands to prevent contamination with SARS-CoV-2 virus during the state of alert, the legislator establishes the type of mask that can be worn to prevent the spread of the Sars-Cov-2 virus, namely ‘From 08.01.2022, it is established the obligation to wear only medical type three-fold protective mask or FFP2 (N95), so that it covers the mouth and nose, in all enclosed and open public places’.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS on hygiene measures in School I. Wearing a mask a) masks are effective if used in combination with frequent hand cleaning with an alcohol-based solution or soap and water; b) before putting on the mask, hands should be sanitised (with an alcohol-based solution or soap and water). The mask should cover both the mouth and the nose; c) the medical mask must be changed every four hours or whenever it has become wet or damaged; d) the mask must not be touched while being worn; if the mask is touched, hands must be sanitised (with an alcohol-based solution or soap and water); e) after use, the mask shall be discarded immediately in a waste bin (preferably with a lid), followed by hand hygiene; f) medical masks should not be reused; g) in the event of fever, cough or sneezing, wearing the mask is recommended in all circumstances (e.g. in open spaces and at home).

SUSPECTED CASE - SCENARIO 1 What to do for a suspected case?

When there are symptoms of respiratory infection or other described signs, stay in isolation at home as soon as you recognise the symptoms described Inform the School Office as soon as possible Call your family doctor and inform them about the medical condition You can opt for a PCR Test performed by the public health system (Please note that it could take from between three days and one week for it to arrive and to receive the result but it is free. You can contact them by e-mail at epidemiologie@dspb.ro or by phone at 0219462, or you could opt to go to a private clinic and receive the result the same day. POSITIVE CASE - SCENARIO 2 Positive PCR Test

If your test result is positive, please send the result to School immediately. According to the new regulations, the person confirmed positive must isolate themselves depending on whether they are vaccinated or unvaccinated, as follows: – persons infected with SARS-CoV-2 virus (tested positive by RT-PCR or antigen test) who do NOT show symptoms will be isolated, at home or institutionalised, for seven days if they are vaccinated or have been through the disease within the last 180 days, or – persons infected with SARS-CoV-2 (tested positive by RT-PCR or antigen) who do not show symptoms will be isolated, at home, or institutionalised for 10 days if they are unvaccinated or have not been through the disease within the last 180 days. Therefore, if the person is vaccinated, they will undergo a seven-day isolation period and if unvaccinated they will undergo a 10-day isolation period. Please note that if the isolation decision was issued by the DSP before the entry into force of these new regulations, the isolation period will remain as initially established. Only people who have been isolated since 9th January will be subject to the new regulations. For these persons, the new rules are not retroactive. DSP will be informed by the testing Clinic/Family Doctor once the result is confirmed. SCENARIO 3 Direct contact with a person we know has a positive SARS-CoV-2 result

Please note the steps on slide four to avoid direct contact. According to the provisions of HCNSU 2/07.01.2022, from 9th January 2022, persons coming into direct contact with a confirmed case of COVID will have to be quarantined for: – 10 days for persons unvaccinated or for persons who have not been confirmed for SARS-CoV-2 infection between the 11th and 180th day; Five days for vaccinated persons for whom 10 days have elapsed since the completion of the vaccination scheme and for persons who have been confirmed for SARS-CoV-2 infection between the 11th and 180th day before the date of entry into the country or contact with the infected person. Therefore, the person who is a direct contact with a confirmed case of COVID and who will carry out the period of quarantine at home or in a special location.

SCENARIO 4 As of now, persons entering Romania from areas with epidemiological risk according to CNSU

Significant changes have been made to the quarantine period, as follows: The quarantine measure is established for persons arriving in Romania from countries/territories of epidemiological risk with a duration of: 10 days for unvaccinated persons or persons not in the period between the 11th and 180th day after the date of confirmation for SARS-CoV-2 virus infection; Five days for vaccinated persons and for whom 10 days have elapsed since the completion of the vaccination schedule, as well as for persons who have been confirmed for infection with SARS-CoV-2 virus in the period between 11th and 180th the day before the date of entry into the country The duration of the quarantine established by decisions issued prior to the entry into force of this decision shall be reduced in accordance with the time limits set out above.
