CURRICULUM-RELATED DAY TRIPS
JOURNEYS @BSB Students’ experiences at the British School of Bucharest are significantly enriched through BSB Journeys, as students learn best when actively engaged in their learning. These journeys form an essential part of a student’s education, offering opportunities for broader experiential learning. Through BSB Journeys, students explore new places and people, build connections with different cultures, and develop valuable life skills.
We organise many trips of this type throughout the year for all students. There is no additional cost for these, and permission has been granted through the Registration File, although parents are notified of each upcoming trip. In addition to the educational trips that enrich students’ experiences at the British School of Bucharest, Secondary students take responsibility for their own learning. They participate in out-of-class activities and events, including symposiums and a Work Experience Programme, helping them build a portfolio of out-of-class learning experiences.
RESIDENTIAL TRIPS Year 2 pupils experience a sleepover on the BSB campus, offering a perfect transition to the trips in the following years. Starting in Year 3, Primary students can join overnight trips to various destinations across Romania. These trips enrich classroom learning and provide a more hands-on, real-life learning experience.
INTERNATIONAL TRIPS Year 6 and Secondary students can take part in local trips within Romania and overseas. The school often organises several trips related to subjects taught, such as Geography, Business Studies, Science and Drama, to various locations and international festivals. The cost of residential and international trips is not included in the fees. Information about these trips will be provided via email, along with instructions for registration using the School Buddy System.
