Information for Candidates - British School of Bucharest This document has been written to help you. You must read it all. It applies to both Edexcel and CAIE external written examinations at BSB. Read it carefully and follow the instructions. If there is anything you do not understand, especially which calculator you may use, ask the Exams Officer. All students taking external exams should join the Exams at BSB 23-24 Google Classroom where up to date information will be published cjrifrx. You must not be involved in any unfair or dishonest actions before, during or after the exam. DO NOT CHEAT: “If you try to use any unfair practice or break the rules in any way, you could be disqualified from all your subjects.” Exam conditions start when you enter the exam room and end when you leave. Do not attempt to communicate with or disturb other candidates once you have entered the examination room. If you have any concerns, raise your hand to talk to an invigilator. What to bring and what not to bring into the exam room 1. No electronic devices, mobile phones, airpods or watches are allowed into the exam room at any time. Having any such item in the exam room is considered malpractice and will be reported to the exam board. They may disqualify you from ALL the exams that you are sitting. The school will not take responsibility for your mobile phone at any time – leave it in your locker. 2. Only a transparent pencil case or plastic bag is permitted for stationary in the exam room. Do not bring or use correction fluid or erasable pens. You should only use black ink. 3. You are responsible for ensuring that any calculator you bring into the exam room is compliant with the exam board regulations. 4. All students must wear full school uniform. Do not bring coats or large jumpers into the exam room. 5. All water must be in a completely see through and colourless container. Please place this on the floor beside your desk during the exam. No food is permitted in the exam room. Location and timing of exams 1. Please check the Seating Plans/ Exam Timetable on the noticeboards outside the exam room and published on Google Classroom. 2. A register will be taken outside the exam room 15 minutes before the start time of your exam. You must be present and ready to enter the exam room at this time. 3. Most examinations will be held in the Mirror Room. The Disco Room will be the meeting point. 4. You must do everything you can not to be late for an examination, however if ever you find yourself in this position, enter the examination room as quietly as you can and wait for an invigilator. Do not panic, try and remain as calm as possible.
