The latest issue of Britain in Hong Kong, “SELLING SUSTAINABILITY”, takes a closer look at the latest retail trends – in 2017 it was rise of big data, last year it was the opening of bricks and mortar showrooms to compliment online offerings. But one trend that is long overdue – and we hope will continue – is sustainability. Increasingly, consumers are demanding a more ethical and eco-driven approach to business from retailers. The result is a trend in sustainability. We speak to some of our Chamber members who share their insight and experience on sustainability within the retail industry.
This issue also provides an overview of what the Chamber has been up to over the last two months including our annual trip to the UK to meet with relevant government departments and business organisations, snapshots from some of our key events where we welcomed Ricky Chu, new Chairperson of the Equal Opportunities Commission; Clement Cheung, CEO of the Insurance Authority; and Kate Richardson-Walsh, GB Women’s’ hockey cap
