Hearing from our Padel team...

Last weekend we had our first padel tournament. 4 girls and 4 boys competed for the school, with many wins being recorded! We asked Josh, William, Lena and Ava a couple of questions reflecting on their day, and here are their responses…

1. What did you enjoy most about the day?

We most enjoyed getting to play with friends, mixing with different year groups and getting to play some proper competitive matches. We loved the competitive aspect of the matches and how easily they flowed. We also liked how the tournament was laid out because it was very efficient, allowing us to get as much time playing padel as possible.

2. Were there any moments you found challenging?

Josh said he found not having played much padel hard as he did not know all the rules too well. William was surprised by the amount of very skilful players but enjoyed challenging himself when he was playing against them. Ava found it hard when her padel racket broke mid point because she hit it too hard! Lena said it was sometimes challenging playing people who were a lot older than her, but it was a great opportunity to play some people who she otherwise would not get to play.

3. What are you most excited for about the next tournaments to come?

We look forward to playing even more matches, to get better and meet more people at these tournaments. We are also excited to give them an even better game next year!
