The Autumn Term Review
The hard, dry and yellow grass from the hot summer that greeted Sport@BGS as we returned to pre-season training in August seems a long time ago now. It has been an astonishing term of sport in terms of its breadth or participation across the school and in terms of pupils at all levels developing and excelling. Below are some highlights:-
First ever BGS team in a Padel competition
Inaugural basketball triangular
Regional Senior Women' Fencing Champion
International Martial Artists
First Senior BGS swim team in Regional championships
Squash squad progressing through regionals Climbers excelling
Cross Country runners through to represent Bristol and Avon 4 different teams in the last 8 of their respective national events (girls' tennis, hockey, football and under 15 Boys' rugby.
Then the little matter of 340 fixtures played across 15 sports and almost 950 pupils from year 5-13 representing the school!.
