COLOR RENDERING INDEX

Color quality impacts visual appeal and can either contribute to or detract from occupant comfort. To accurately portray colors in the space and enhance occupant comfort, all electric lights (except decorative fixtures, emergency lights and other special�purpose lighting) must have a Color Rendering Index Ra (CRI, average of R1 through R8) of 80 or higher.

COLOR TEMPERATURE

The Atherton avoids disrupting the human circadian rhythm in public spaces by using more cool light (3000-6500k) during the day and warm light (2500-3000k) at night by using white tunable light and programmable systems

SUSTAINABILITY This energy-effective design requires careful control of light, glare, and power consumption, without waste and in sympathy with the ecology and management of the natural environment.

TARGET MARKET aimed towards OSU students, visitors, and alumni with special consideration for older adults and physically challenged, especially the visually challenged. and customers are generally in their early-20's to mid-50s, with mid to upper income averages. contrast between flooring, walls. thresholds, and doors for older adults and the visually impaired. with dimming available in private spaces, guests of all ages can find comfortable light levels to fit their needs or activities.

LIGHTING CONTROLS Daylight harvesting was used on the first floor of the hotel to save energy and not use wasted light.

Programmable systems were used in every room of the Atherton, even in the guest rooms to make it easier on guests to pick lighting settings, like cleaning, ambiance, or party mode. occupancy sensors are used in public restrooms and storage rooms in the hotel so guests dont have to worry about the inconvenience of switches

SPECIFICATIONS The finish shall be #26 white on the face and #84 black on the pattern controllers. The finish shall be an anodic acrylic paint, baked at 315°F for 30 minutes. The pencil hardness must be HB to H. The paint must pass a 100-hour ASTM B117 Corrosive Environments Salt Spray Test without creepage, blistering or deterioration of film. The paint must pass a 250-hour ASTM D870 Water Immersion Test.

The paint must also pass the ASTM D2794 Reverse Impact Cracking Test with a 50inch pound force applied.

Heavy gauge extruded aluminum end borders, end caps and mitered corners shall be available to close off the ends of the diffusers. Plenums shall be manufactured by the same manufacturer of the linear slot diffusers. Optional diffuser curving to a 6-foot minimum radius with fixed deflection shall be available as required.

The manufacturer shall provide published performance data for the linear slot diffuser. The diffuser shall be tested in accordance with ANSI/ASHRAE Standard 70-1991.
