BASEKAMP TAKES OFF ACROSS BRINKMANN! Brinkmann launches foundational training program basecamp - (n) — a main encampment providing supplies, shelter, and communications for persons engaged in wide-ranging activities While Brinkmann’s new foundational training program, Basekamp, isn’t literally a camp, it certainly fits the definition as a place where our employees can gather the basics to set them up for success, now and for the future. When Bob Brinkmann started his career 50 years ago, Dale Carnegie training taught him vital foundational skills and behaviors that have guided him throughout his legendary career. Now, Brinkmann’s Basekcamp training will bring this important foundational learning to all Brinkmann employees. As Basekamp sessions approach, here’s what to expect: TIME MANAGEMENT: We’re all busy, but there are some tried and true techniques that can help us prioritize and manage our time a little better. The digital app “Microsoft To Do” will help us all with time management. Make sure you download this app before your Basekamp session. STRESS & STORYTELLING: Using some aspects of Dale Carnegie’s “How to Stop Worrying and Start Living,” this training will focus on how to take the stress and worry out of our fast-paced world. “HOW TO WIN FRIENDS AND INFLUENCE PEOPLE”: Dale Carnegie training and

Download the app “Dale Carnegie Golden Book” to help with this training. DiSC ASSESSMENT: How do you behave or communicate in various situations? The DiSC Assessment will tell you! To make the best of your Basekamp training, complete the pre-work and download the resources beforehand. Biometric Screenings Biometric screenings will save you money on your health premiums! Make sure you don’t forget to schedule your appointment onsite in St. Louis and Denver Oct. 28. If you are not in one of the locations where the on-site screening is being held, you are unable to attend the in person event, or if spots fill up before you are able to get your screening scheduled, you can still sign up to get your biometric screening completed at a Patient Service Center at local Quest locations. Don’t forget that by completing this screening either on-site or at a Patient Service Center, you will receive the $650 yearly deduction on your 2023 benefit premiums and be eligible to earn up to 3,300 Vitality points. Wow…..They whispered to her, “you can’t withstand the storm” …..She whispered back, “I am the storm”. You will never know how appropriate that was on Tuesday morning. Kim and I left the farm in a storm that morning, but as we got closer to town, the rain let up just a little. We were on our way to visit the doctor for first review of the results of her operation. We had a pathology report but couldn’t understand it, and we were a little concerned. Her doctor told us that she had done “extremely well in the operation and reacted exceptionally well to the chemotherapy” and our hearts were lifted. On the way home she got Crazy Bowls & Wraps and I got a Shake Shack to celebrate, and of course that cheered us up a little. How do you outdo that? Well, little did we know what we had in store for us at home. As we drove up the drive, we glanced, saw a large sign, and thought maybe our neighbor was having a party. Then we drove up to the house and saw yet another sign. Then it became clear something was definitely up. We then went to the back of the house and, you guessed it, more signs! When we entered in the hearth room, we looked in the backyard and both cried. It was as though the clouds had parted. To see the love bestowed on Kim and me from all of you left us speechless. We still have all of them up and we are not sure they are coming down. We wanted to share with you your presentation and thank you for all your thoughts and prayers over the last few months. Kim has three more sessions
of chemo remaining to clean up, what the doctor called, the “little sisters“ of the left over cancer, and then she will be done. Kim wanted to share her thoughts with you all as well, so please see her message below. Thank you again. We love you all! Bob To Our Brinkmann Family, Thank you for the best surprise! When we came home from my post-op checkup yesterday, we were greeted by amazing billboards of all of you. Your creativity and thoughtfulness just blows me away! Thank you for rooting me on from wherever you may be working. All your kindness is felt and has made a huge difference in my experience. I promise you that this disease would be a lot tougher to fight if we didn’t have your prayers and support. We are winning and in large part due to all of you. Thank you for taking the time to pray for us. It is a challenge, but nothing that we can’t handle….we are halfway there! May God bless each of you and your families. To God be the glory!
