made in Brandenburg 2013 haben wir die mawa-Produktion nach Seddin verlagert, 6 km entfernt von unserem denkmalgeschützten Palmhof. Konstrukteure, Lichtplaner, Architekten, unser Einkauf, die gesamte Produktionsmannschaft, der Versand als auch der Herr von »mawa« sind seitdem in Seddin tätig. Verkauf, Buchhaltung und Kommunikation arbeiten nach wie vor in dem 1871 erbauten Märkischen Vierseithof. Die ehemalige Produktion nutzen wir heute als Büro und Showroom.

Neue CNC Fertigungsanlagen und Methoden, kontinuierliche Qualifikation und hervorragend ausgebildete und geschulte Mitarbeiter – das macht es möglich was wir Ihnen auf den nächsten Seiten vorstellen.

In 2013, we relocated our mawa production to Seddin, 6 km away from our historically protected Palmhof. Since then, design engineers, lighting designers, architects, our purchasing department, the entire production crew, shipping, and Mr. »mawa« himself are all working there. Sales, accounting, and communication are still located in the original 4-sided farm complex in Mark Brandenburg, built in 1871. The old production facilities are now used for offices and our showroom.

New CNC production systems and methods, continuous qualification, exceptionally welleducated and trained employees – all this makes it possible to offer what is presented to you on the following pages.

Jeder LED-Strahler aus dem System »wittenberg« wird mit 4 Hochleistungs-LEDs ausgestattet. Bei einer Leistung von max. 100 lm / W ergibt sich eine Gesamtleistung je nach Linse von 616 lm (15°), 778 lm (24°) oder 832 lm (37°) je Strahlerkopf. Und das bei gerade einmal 8,4 W Gesamtleistungsaufnahme und mit der Energieeffizienzklasse A⁺⁺.

The »wittenberg« system is a product family that has grown over the years and which is continually being developed. Each spotlight is produced by our development team in close coopera­tion with our technical team and external engineers in the HightechManufacture.

Mawa LEDs are highly innovative proprietary developments which attain and in most cases surpass all pertinent technical and lighting relevant requirements.

Naturally, our energy saving low voltage 35 W Osram Halostar Eco Lamp version remains in production, along with the HIT variation using Philips Master Color 20 / 35W. 74

The HightechManufacture

High Performance LEDs Every LED spotlight in the »wittenberg« system is outfitted with 4 high-performance LEDs. With a maximum power capacity of 100 lm / W, the combined output depending on the lens is 616 lm (15°), 778 lm (24°) or 832 lm (37°) for each spot-head. All this with only 8.4 W of total power consumption and an energy efficiency classification of A⁺⁺.

Binning / Farbmanagement Binning ist »Vorab-Sortierung« einzelner Margen in der LED-Produktion.

Somit werden Schwankungen auf einer Platine ausgeschlossen und eine einheitliche Farbwiedergabe perfektioniert Ihre Planung.

Unsere Wittenberg LED`s 2700 K / 3000 K sind im Binning wiederholgenau, das bedeutet für den Endkunden eine perfekte Angleichung der einzelnen Strahlerköpfe auch bei späterem Zukauf. Wir bieten einen Farbwiedergabeindex von > 90. Auf Anfrage sind andere Farbtemperaturen und Farbwiedergaben möglich. Mawa sortiert ihre LEDs nach dem optimalen Farbwert auf der »black body curve« (siehe Tabelle Seite 76).

Fluctuations in the PCBs are therefore eliminated and a uniform color rendering allows for perfected planning.

The binning of our Wittenberg LED`s (2700 K / 3000 K) is precise and repeatable. For the client, this means individual spot heads are in perfect harmony, even when bought at a later date. We offer an color rendering index of > 90. Other color temperatures and rendering indexes available on request. Mawa sorts your LEDs according to the optimum color value on the »black body curve« (see table on page 76).

Wärmemanagement / Kühlung / Degradation

Unsere LED-»wittenberg«-Strahlerköpfe mit wahlweise 2700 / 3000 Kelvin (andere Lichtfarben auf Anfrage) erreichen einen Lichtstrom von 100 Lumen / Watt; eine Alternative in Brillanz für unsere 35 W Osram Halostar Eco Halogenausführung.

Entstehende Wärme wird hierbei nicht in Abstrahlrichtung des Strahlerkopfes abgegeben.

Durch die verwendeten LEDs entsteht keine UV-Strahlung. Die Lichtfarbe wird beim Dimmvorgang nicht beeinflusst.

Ein eigens entwickelter Kühlkörper bildet das Rückgrat des LED »wittenberg« Strahlerkopfes. Dieser wurde für eine ausgezeichnete passive Kühlung optimiert. Die Verbindung von Aluminiumstrahlergehäuse und des verwendeten Wärmeleitklebers sind perfekt aufeinander abgestimmt.

Mit einer Kühlfläche von über 36.000 mm2 ist unsere Kühlfläche sogar um sage und schreibe 40 % überdimensioniert; die hochwertige Eloxierung ist ein weiterer Garant für eine perfekte Ableitung der durch die LEDs rückseitig entstehenden Abwärme.

Ebenso wird die Alterung und Degradation der mawa LEDs durch die Linsenkapselung erheblich reduziert.

Our LED »wittenberg« spot-heads available in 2700 / 3000 Kelvin (other light colors available on request) achieve a luminous flux of 100 lumens / watt and offer a brilliant alternative to our 35 W Osram Halostar Eco halogen version.

Accruing heat is not passed on in the beam angle of the spotlight. No UV radiation is generated through the use of LEDs. There is no color-changing while dimming.

A custom designed heat sink forms the backbone of LED »wittenberg« spotlight.

This element is optimized for excellent passive cooling. The connections to the aluminum spotlight housing are perfectly achieved using thermally conductive adhesives.

With a cooling surface of more than 36,000 square mm, our heat sink is, believe it or not, 40 % oversized; the high quality anodized surface is a further guarantee for the perfect dissolution of residual heat given off from the rear of the LEDs. Together with lens encapsulation of the mawa LEDs, these additive effects considerably reduce aging and degradation.

Auf die Farbtemperatur hat der Dimmvorgang keinen Einfluss, selbstverständlich lassen sich unsere LEDs sofort auf 100 % Lichtleistung schalten.

Unsere LED ist vorwärts- und rückwärtskompatibel! Besitzen Sie bereits einen Niedervolt Kopf aus der »wittenberg«-Serie, kann dieser nachträglich und für die Zukunft mit LED bestückt werden. Mawa ist damit Vorreiter in Sachen Rückwärtskompatibilität / Nachhaltigkeit, das Schraubbild der Niedervoltversion des Wittenbergkopfes entspricht dem der LED Version. Übrigens, falls die Industrie die mawa-LED Qualität im Sinne, Abstrahlwinkel, Lichtfarbe, Farbwiedergabewert anbieten kann, auch dann sind wir vorwärtskompatibel, denn unser Kühlkörper wäre auch dafür geeignet.

Our LED is forward and backward compatible! If you already own a low-voltage spotlight from the »wittenberg«-series, it can be equipped with LED retroactively or at a later date.

Mawa is therefore the leader when it comes to reverse compatability and sustainability.

The screw pattern of the low-voltage version of the wittenberg spot is identical to the LED version. Incidentally, if the industry alters LED quality in aesthetic, beam angle, light color, or color rendering index in the future, we will still remain forwards compatible, because our heat sink will still be suitable.

Naturally, sustainability is important to us! Mawa lights can be alternatively equipped with energy-saving lamps as well.

In our community of Michendorf, we take great care to dispose old energy-saving lamps in a responsible manner.

LED »wittenberg« Strahler erzeugen im direkten Vergleich deutlich mehr Licht als eine Halogenlampe und das bei einem Viertel des Verbrauchs. Bei einer Lebensdauer von ca. 50.000 h liegt die LED bei dem 12,5-fachen eines Halogenleuchtmittels.

LED »wittenberg« spotlights create significantly more light in direct comparison to halogen lamps, and all this using only one quarter of the energy. With a lifespan of approx. 50,000 h, the LED has a lifespan 12,5 × longer than that of a halogen lamp.
