COMMONWEALTH HEADS OF GOVERNMENT MEETING (CHOGM)

Leaders of Commonwealth countries meet every two years for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM), hosted by different member countries on a rotating basis.

Since 1971, a total of 25 meetings have been held, with the most recent (26th) being in Rwanda last June 2022 after being postponed twice due to Covid-19 pandemic.

While the theme for the meeting was “Delivering A Common Future: Connecting, Innovating, Transforming,” several forums were organized dedicated to Business, the Youth, Women or the Kigali Summit on Malaria and Neglected Tropical Diseases apart from other side and social events which attracted more than 4,000 people from all over the Commonwealth nations to the beautiful city of Kigali.

We were more than honored, with our two properties Kigali Marriott and Four Points by Sheraton Kigali, to be among the main lodging hotels in the city and also the hosts of several side events including the Royal Dinner of His Majesty Charles III the King of the United Kingdom.
