ADVANTAGES OF AC MOTOR CEILING FANS
AC stands for alternating current, meaning the electrical flow changes direction 50 times a second in order to provide a constant flow compared to a DC fan that has a variable, uneven flow.
AC ceiling fans have the options to change to a variety of controllers (wall or remote type).
AC fans can use a simple wall controller and are often easier to operate.

DC FAN vs AC FAN WALL CONTROLLERS
AC ceiling fans are normally operated via a wall controller, where as DC ceiling fans can only be operated via an RF remote control.
They can also be controlled using the Standard remote control 99999, LCD model 99222, Wi-Fi model 99111 and Touch model 88888.

WARRANTY
* Warranty on all fans, not including controllers, remotes or light fittings, is 6 years. The first 3 years are covered by an In-home warranty with an additional 3 year replacement only. Consumable items such as batteries and light globes will not be covered by this warranty.
The warranted use of fans outdoors are limited to enclosed alfresco like areas where conditions are similar to indoor installations.
The warranty conditions for fans installed in enclosed alfresco areas are as follows:
• Fan must be shielded from wind and rain (enclosed area, minimum 1.5m from edge of eave/roof).
• The warranty will cover open circuit motor faults, and remote control faults if not related to outdoor exposure.
• The warranty will not cover outdoor related issues such as rusting, or failure clearly caused by water, moisture or wind.
• The warranty will not cover external appearance or finish of any part of the ceiling fan.
• The warranty will not cover wooden blades. These are recommended only to be used indoors.
The warranty does not cover Ripple Control noise/interference (identified by a periodic or intermittent hum). This must be addressed with your energy service provider. The warranty does not cover noises or faults due to poor installation or failure to balance fans as per instructions.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
1. Can we wire two or more Brilliant sensors in parallel?
Yes. Each model in our range of stand alone sensors can be wired in parallel to additional sensors so that one or multiple loads can be turned on by different sensors. Refer basic wiring example below.
2. What is the minimum load of Brilliant sensors?
All Brilliant stand alone sensors have no actual minimum load (due to using a relay to switch the output). But as a guide we recommend at least a 5W load.
3. Do Brilliant sensors feature manual override?
Yes. Flexiscan 2, Uni Scan, Eye, Three Sixty 2, Ezy-Scan, Versa-Scan, Techno-Scan and Eye 360. All feature manual override.
4. How to set sensor to manual override.
A – Flexiscan 2, with power already on, turn power switch off then back on within 2-3 seconds.
B – Techno-Scan – simply select on via remote control.
C – For all other models, with power already on, turn power switch off then back on then off and back on again within 3 seconds.
5. HOW TO RETURN SENSOR INTO AUTOMATIC MODE. Turn off power to sensor for at least 1 minute, then turn back on.
