ARIES – Mar 21/Apr 20
ARIES – Mar 21/Apr 20
Aries, you typically have a lot of energy and feel the need to come in first in everything you do. Today that trait will work to your advantage at work. TAURUS – April 21/May Taurus, you won’t necessarily feel comfortable when a friend asks for a favor. But in this instance you simply need to go along for the ride to ruffle the least feathers. GEMINI – May 22/Jun 21 Gemini, your social energy this week is helping to bring the right people into your inner circle. Be sure to pay one particular person a good deal of attention. CANCER – June 22/July 22 Cancer, financial issues are certainly keeping you on your toes, although you are hoping for a respite. Go with the flow for now and find a better way to organize. LEO – July 23/August 23 Keep trying to win over someone who is not entirely on board with your line of thinking, Leo. A little more persuasion and there’s a good chance you can get another supporter. VIRGO – Aug 24/Sept 22 Virgo, you’re energy and attention span is a bit scattered this week but could be just enough to find a new way to take care of things. Experiment with fun activities. LIBRA – Sept 23/Oct 23 Libra, you have an uncanny ability to tune into the way people think and operate. You can put this knowledge to work at the workplace and find success in new ventures. SCORPIO – Oct 24/Nov 22 Scorpio, a family member needs help getting through a rough time. You may be the only one who can provide the comfort and help your loved one needs and deserves. SAGITTARIUS – Nov 23/Dec 21 Put your creative energy to good use, Sagittarius. It could mean renovating a part of your home or discovering a new hobby to keep you busy. CAPRICORN – Dec 22/Jan 20 Capricorn, try to tackle an easy financial project this week. It could involve brownbagging your lunch or saving loose change for a vacation fund. AQUARIUS – Jan 21/Feb 18 Don’t fret, Aquarius. People are paying attention to you even if they seem distracted on the surface. Take every opportunity to be on your best behavior this week. PISCES – Feb 19/Mar20 Pisces, it may seem like a struggle right now, but you will find out that almost any obstacle can be overcome if you set your mind to it.
Aries, communication is a big deal for you this week. Every time you open your mouth, you have a grand audience just waiting on what you have to say.
TAURUS – April 21/May 2
Taurus, attempt a more lighthearted approach to a difficult situation. If you don’t let it bother you, there may be an easy solution that comes to mind much faster. GEMINI – May 22/Jun 21 Gemini, don’t worry if the spark seems to have sizzled out of your relationship. While there may be a bump in the road, this is by no means the end of the whole thing. CANCER – June 22/July 22 Cancer, have some fun at work. Just because it is a means to making money doesn’t mean it has to be serious and boring every day. Be creative in your methods. LEO – July 23/August 23 You are at the top of your game this week, Leo. Expect to sail through projects at the speed of light. Also anticipate others turning to you for advice because of the vibe you give. VIRGO – Aug 24/Sept 22 Don’t expect others to be mind readers, Virgo. If you have something to say, simply say it. It is better than going through the guessing game of your feelings. LIBRA – Sept 23/Oct 23 Libra, the simple act of expressing yourself will ease any personal issues you are keeping inside. Talking about things can help you feel more secure, as well. SCORPIO – Oct 24/Nov 22 Scorpio, focus on keeping yourself in great shape. Feeling under the weather can be taxing on the body and the spirit. Eat healthy and get more exercise. SAGITTARIUS – Nov 23/Dec 21 Sagittarius, taking time to notice your feelings can go a long way toward mitigating stress and bringing peace of mind. It also creates other opportunities to relax. CAPRICORN – Dec 22/Jan 20 Capricorn, focus on fitness as the warm weather is once again right around the corner. You’ll want to look and feel your best when it comes time to enjoy the great outdoors. AQUARIUS – Jan 21/Feb 18 Aquarius, don’t fret too much over a situation that’s been troubling you. Realizing the situation is a great first step. Now seek the help of others to determine a solution. PISCES – Feb 19/Mar20 You may notice changes to your home life, Pisces, and it may be causing anxiety. The celestial plane is creating the turmoil.
March 11 - 17 ARIES – Mar 21/Apr 20 Aries, even though your intentions are good, be careful with words this week. Rely on your actions and not just your words to convey the message. TAURUS – April 21/May 2 Taurus, you are absolutely sure your work week will go your way. Considering you weigh all the facts in decisions, there’s a strong chance you’ll be right.
GEMINI – May 22/Jun 21
Gemini, you are tempted to bend the truth a little this week. Be careful what you wish for, as it might be hard to recover a sense of trust if your actions are discovered.
CANCER – June 22/July 22
Cancer, adjust your way of thinking to be more flexible. You should not always operate on a rigid schedule, but be more receptive to changes. Check with friends; see what they think.
LEO – July 23/August 23
Leo, you are aware of what lies ahead, but you’re not eager to jump in and get started on the tasks that need your attention. Develop a plan and things will work out.
VIRGO – Aug 24/Sept 22
Virgo, your confidence returns this week but you are still treading carefully so as not to be disappointed later on. Trust in yourself and you likely won’t be disappointed.
LIBRA – Sept 23/Oct 23
Establishing a balance between humility and self-confidence is the key to being a well-rounded person, Libra. Therefore, don’t take the power of positive thinking to the extreme.
SCORPIO – Oct 24/Nov 22
Scorpio, although you are not overly excited about plans for the near future, you are capable of balancing fantasy with reality. Things will work out for the best.
SAGITTARIUS – Nov 23/Dec 21
Sagittarius, this week you realize that you don’t have as many answers as you thought you had. You can look for other answers by being in touch with friends and family.
CAPRICORN – Dec 22/Jan 20
Use this week as a time for renewal, Capricorn. Set lofty goals because this will serve as a challenge in order for you to really shine — and you thrive on challenges.
AQUARIUS – Jan 21/Feb 18
Aquarius, you may get caught up in your emotions about a certain person in your life. Take a step back and you’ll realize there’s no reason to get so excited.
PISCES – Feb 19/Mar20
Pisces, once you start focusing on what you want to do next, you find you have the motivation to get anything accomplished.
FOR ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY
March 18 - 24 ARIES – Mar 21/Apr 20 Aries, kick back and let your fantasy world take over your conscious thoughts. You can use a little time lost in a land of utmost happiness this week. TAURUS – April 21/May 2 This is not the week to try to do everything solo, Taurus. Involve your friends and family members as much as possible. At the very least you’ll have a host of able bodies. GEMINI – May 22/Jun 21 Gemini, people are likely to offer you advice this week. While the advice might be unsolicited, take it into consideration and you might just be better for it. CANCER – June 22/July 22 Cancer, address any unresolved projects this week. You’re riding on a wave of very positive energy that will fuel you as you tie up all those loose ends. LEO – July 23/August 23 Leo, try to keep your cool this week, even if stress levels are rising and you can’t seem to get anything done. Maintain your composure and everything will work out. VIRGO – Aug 24/Sept 22 Virgo, expect to get a lot done this week. An extra hop in your step is enabling you to accomplish all your goals. Offer your help to Pisces when you get a free moment. LIBRA – Sept 23/Oct 23 Libra, focus on the things in life that provide you pleasure. This will help balance out anything that might be bothering you. You’ll find this balance is right up your alley. SCORPIO – Oct 24/Nov 22 What you desire and what you experience are starting to meld, Scorpio. Be sure that you position yourself correctly to maximize the benefits of this scenario. SAGITTARIUS – Nov 23/Dec 21 Sagittarius, now is the time to reach for something bold and big. Think about any changes you can make that will involve a leap of faith and then get started on the goal. CAPRICORN – Dec 22/Jan 20 Carpicorn, encourage others to tackle a problem with a different mindset. Things are looking up for you, so don’t be afraid to offer some advice. AQUARIUS – Jan 21/Feb 18 Aquarius, your desire to help a person in need this week is paramount. Find some new ways to exhibit compassion and surprise a loved one with a random act of kindness. PISCES – Feb 19/Mar20 Pisces, you will soon find you have the momentum to implement any change you desire. Start making a list of your plans.
Tips On How To Survive A Disaster
If you believe everything you read, better not read. –Japanese Proverb
(NAPSA)-A disaster can happen any time to anyone and the better prepared you are, the better your odds of surviving it. Recently, the news has been filled with stories of tornadoes, earthquakes and floods, all of which have caused enormous destruction and, in some cases, loss of life. It has caused many people to think about survival kits and plans. Making A Plan What should you plan for and what should your survival kit contain? The U.S. Department of Homeland Security encourages people to consult websites such as www. ready.gov. In the event of an emergency, it may be necessary to survive on your own. With that reality in mind, the site has a helpful checklist of items to keep on hand, including: • Water • Nonperishable food • Radio, flashlight and batteries • First aid kit • Whistle • Dust masks • Plastic sheeting and duct tape • Cell phone and charger or inverter. Stay Powered Another key consideration: preparing for a loss of electricity. A home-based survival kit proves its value in an emergency. And that’s also when a residential standby generator can make all the difference, enabling you to stay in your home in comfort and safety. Unlike portable units, a home standby generator is hardwired into your home’s electrical _sys_tem. Teamed with an automatic transfer switch, the re_s_idential generator automatically kicks in when it senses a loss of utility power, and it automatically shuts down when utility power is restored. There are several factors to consider in determining the right generator for your home, including square footage, wattage of critical appliances and fuel preference-natural gas or propane. Fortunately, companies such as Cummins Onan can help you select the right generator for your needs. Once you decide on a model, let a professional electrical contractor handle the installation. It’s not a DIY job. For More Information For more information on emergency preparedness in general and standby power in particular, visit powertoprepare.com/ready. There, you will find links to important resources that can help you determine and implement your own plan, as well as helpful videos and eye-opening statistics presented in easyto-understand graphic form.

FUN BY THE NUMBERS Like puzzles? Then you’ll love sudoku. This mind-bending puzzle will have you hooked from the moment you square off, so sharpen your pencil and put your sudoku savvy to the test! HERE’S HOW IT WORKS: Sudoku puzzles are formatted as a 9x9 grid, broken down into nine 3x3 boxes. To solve a sudoku, the numbers 1 through 9 must fill each row, column and box. Each number can appear only once in each row, column and box. You can figure out the order in which the numbers will appear by using the numeric clues already provided in the boxes. The more numbers you name, the easier it gets to solve the puzzle.
