ARIES – Mar 21/Apr 20

An agreement will be nullified before you even get started, Aries. It is time to come up with a different plan of action if you want better results. TAURUS – April 21/May 2 Relationship woes have slowed you down, Taurus. It could take a few days before you return to full speed. Delegate some of your responsibilities, if necessary. GEMINI – May 22/Jun 21 Gemini, you’re giving off so much creative energy that people may flock to your side for the next several days. This newfound celebrity could be an asset. CANCER – June 22/July 22 Cancer, there is no easy way around something you need to get done at work. Being scatterbrained this week may add to the pressure of getting things done. LEO – July 23/August 23 Leo, you have to ask a lot of questions to get to the root of a problem that’s been bothering you. You have the personality to get to the answers easily. VIRGO – Aug 24/Sept 22 Virgo, an unexpected partnership could arise this week. While it may be bumpy at the start, after a few days, the two of you will have worked out all of the kinks. LIBRA – Sept 23/Oct 23 Libra, after some busy months, you are ready for a vacation. This well-deserved respite could be an elaborate trip to some place exotic, if you should so choose. SCORPIO – Oct 24/Nov 22 Scorpio, with so many creative ideas constantly whirling in your head, it can sometimes be difficult zeroing in on one. Luckily this week you will get things in order. SAGITTARIUS – Nov 23/Dec 21 Sagittarius, avoid passing judgement on someone else close to you. Listen to their problems and work with them to find a good solution. CAPRICORN – Dec 22/Jan 20 There’s no use procrastinating on something that needs to get done this week, Capricorn. It will only prolong the amount of time you have to worry about it. AQUARIUS – Jan 21/Feb 18 Aquarius, patience and motivation is all you need to start tackling that to-do list. Finding a partner to help will make the work go twice as fast. PISCES – Feb 19/Mar20 Pisces, others often look to you for inspiration. You will not disappoint this week when you offer some unique ideas.

Aries, your ambition will take you to new places this week. Channel your energy in a constructive method to make the most of this renewed vigor. TAURUS – April 21/May 2 Taurus, now is the time to do slow and steady work, rather than experimenting with new methods. You’ll have time for fun and some trial and error later on.

Expect to expend a little energy this week to get the job done right, Aries. Leaving it up to others is not the best way to go in this instance. Step up. TAURUS – April 21/May 2 Taurus, focus on the big picture or nothing will get accomplished. It’s too easy to get lost in all of the little details. Follow through on the task at hand.

Gemini, for some reason you feel compelled to get started on something new in the next few days. This may be a job or a relationship — only time will unveil the secrets.

Gemini, someone will catch your ear and it will only serve to confuse you. You won’t know what to make of it but don’t get worried. It will all begin to make sense once a few pieces fall into place.

Aries, you could find yourself daydreaming this week, which will only make an important decision even harder to make. You need to focus, or the week will be wasted. TAURUS – April 21/May 2 Common sense may be what you use to operate, Taurus, but this week a little imagination and spontaneity could be the secret to achieving great success in the next few days.

GEMINI – May 22/Jun 21

CANCER – June 22/July 22

GEMINI – May 22/Jun 21

Be careful with whom you share your goals, Gemini. While there just may be a few copycats who want to steal your thunder, you could find a promotion is stolen away as well.

Cancer, you will need to take an intellectual approach to solving what has been troubling you recently. Lists and careful consideration might be necessary.

CANCER – June 22/July 22

You have to approach someone who hasn’t been doing his or her share of the work, Leo. Tread gently because there could be a very good reason why this person has been floundering.

LEO – July 23/August 23

Cancer, explore new ways of doing things this week, especially in your professional life. There’s always room to grow and a new perspective might make things easier.

Leo, you need to figure out how to turn all of your great ideas into workable projects — especially ones that can make you some money. Get started on a plan.

Open yourself up to a new line of thinking, Virgo. There are many different possibilities that you may have overlooked before now. Try to expand your horizons.

VIRGO – Aug 24/Sept 22

Leo, be careful of a misstep when you move into new territory. Don’t leak information before you have fully developed the ideas, or things could get tricky.

Embrace spontaneity this week, Libra. It could turn out to be something exciting and fun, which is just what you need at this time in your life.

LIBRA – Sept 23/Oct 23

LEO – July 23/August 23

VIRGO – Aug 24/Sept 22

LIBRA – Sept 23/Oct 23

SCORPIO – Oct 24/Nov 22

Scorpio, take a step back and allow an upset family member a little breathing room this week. It’s best not to add fuel to the fire in this particular situation.

Lots of people need your help, Cancer. Focus all of your energy on helping others for the time being. You will feel good about your efforts and the good karma that results from them.

Change will be all around you, Virgo. While you’re not overly excited about it, you realize change is essential to growing in your life and career. New work arrangements need to be made. Don’t expect this week to go smoothly, Libra. But that doesn’t necessarily mean it will go badly. It’s just full of distractions and interruptions.

SCORPIO – Oct 24/Nov 22

SAGITTARIUS – Nov 23/Dec 21

Scorpio, you may be feeling sensual and romantic for the next few days. It could be because of all of the positive attention you have been receiving lately.

Get out and try to meet some new people, Sagittarius. Constantly add to your collection of networking contacts, because you never know when you’ll need to call in a favor.

You may feel happy when a friend or family member comes over to visit today, Sagittarius. You have been waiting for some company for quite a while. Enjoy the visit.

CAPRICORN – Dec 22/Jan 20

Capricorn, though you can see quite clearly what you need to do this week, you may have to refrain from taking any action for some time. Try to be patient a little longer.

AQUARIUS – Jan 21/Feb 18

Aquarius, things have been going your way and you are getting more and more excited about the future. This influx of enthusiasm is just what you need.

PISCES – Feb 19/Mar20

Your big ideas are highly valued, Pisces. Let others know what you are thinking and don’t be surprised if others ask for your advice.

SAGITTARIUS – Nov 23/Dec 21

CANCER – June 22/July 22

LEO – July 23/August 23

VIRGO – Aug 24/Sept 22

Cosmic fog is clouding your reality, Virgo. It is unlikely you will be able to make a sound decision, so it is best to wait a while before tackling difficult or life-altering projects.

LIBRA – Sept 23/Oct 23

Libra, there is no time for daydreaming right now. There’s simply too much to get done. Start on small tasks and build up to the larger ones.

SCORPIO – Oct 24/Nov 22

Sometimes the best growth comes from not knowing where you’re heading, Scorpio. While you may want to have a game plan, let creative energy drive you instead.

SAGITTARIUS – Nov 23/Dec 21

CAPRICORN – Dec 22/Jan 20

Sagittarius, though right now you can probably get away with saying whatever comes into your mind, it’s better to stick to the subject at hand. Censor yourself a little.

Capricorn, your mind will be all over the place this week unless you find someone to help you get focused. Think of it as having a babysitter who can call you out if you start to stray.

CAPRICORN – Dec 22/Jan 20

Capricorn, a fear of failure may override your ambition. Don’t let these feelings compromise your plan for doing something new and different.

Aquarius, you will be amazed at the results when you finally set your mind to something. Stick with what you’re doing and enjoy the ride.

Aquarius, it can be a little challenging to figure out what is bothering you, but be patient. The truth will be revealed in due time. Focus on something else.

Pisces, help around the house or at the office this week and the work will benefit you and all of the other people with whom you interact.

Pisces, you may have some unfinished business to complete, but it won’t get done right away. Focus on the task at hand.

The Great Pyramid at Giza, Egypt, constructed around 2500 B.C., was the tallest building in the world until the Eiffel Tower was erected in 1889.

The 555-foot-tall Washington Monument contains an estimated 36,00 granite and marble stones that weigh 90,000 tons.

The restoration work on the Leaning Tower of Pisa that took place between 1990 and 2001 shifted the tower’s “lean” back to an angle of four degrees after it was previously leaning at an angle of 5.5 degrees.

Of all the states, West Virginia has the highest average altitude east of the Mississippi.

The smallest bone in the human body is the stapes or stirrup bone located in the middle ear. It is approximately 1/10 inch long. Shaped like a stirrup on a saddle, it transmits sound vibrations through the hearing system.

A human being loses an average of 40 to 100 strands of hair a day.

*** Laser stands for Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation. *** The Roman emperor Augustus, it is said, was so afraid of thunder, he would hide in a closet whenever a thunderstorm came up. *** “Shadow Player” is a slang term for an investor who is investing a very large amount of money and wants to conceal his identity.

I”Bottom fishing” is financial slang for picking stocks that are reduced in price after a large selloff or drop in the market. *** Bees, as in “bees and honey,” is Cockney rhyming slang for money. *** When stock prices are extremely overvalued and don’t seem justified, the stocks are sometimes referred to as “castles in the sky.” *** I put a dollar in one of those change machines. Nothing changed. –George Carlin ***

Some luge athletes say they experience g-forces–or the pull of gravity–in some curves on a luge track comparable to what jet fighter pilots experience.

Certain cheeses including aged cheddar, Swiss and Monterey Jack, are thought to help protect teeth from decay.

*** If you think changing clocks for daylight savings time is a nuisance, consider the shadow clock, which told ancient Egyptians the number of hours before or after noon. That clock had to be turned around each day at noon.

••• Luge racers wear weight vests, with pieces of lead sewn into them, to make themselves heavier on the sled. This gives the lugers more speed.

*** With almost 40 million visitors per year, Italy is thought to have the most hotel rooms of any other nation in Europe. *** It takes 500,000 gallons of water to fill Grand Hotel’s swimming pool. The pool is names for actress Esther Williams, who starred in the 1949 movie “This Time for Keeps.” The movie was filmed at Grand Hotel, Mackinak Island, Michigan. *** Those who don’t floss miss cleaning 35 percent of the surface of their teeth. *** One way to tell the difference between alligators and crocodiles is by their teeth. On crocodiles, the fourth tooth on each side of the lower jaw projects outside the snout when the mouth is closed. *** Construction of the Washington Monument was halt4ed after it was about one-quarter of the way toward completion because the builders ran out of funds. When the project was restarted, the builders could no longer get the same stone, That’s why about a quarter of the way up the monument, the color of the stone changes.

FUN BY THE NUMBERS Like puzzles? Then you’ll love sudoku. This mind-bending puzzle will have you hooked from the moment you square off, so sharpen your pencil and put your sudoku savvy to the test! HERE’S HOW IT WORKS: Sudoku puzzles are formatted as a 9x9 grid, broken down into nine 3x3 boxes. To solve a sudoku, the numbers 1 through 9 must fill each row, column and box. Each number can appear only once in each row, column and box. You can figure out the order in which the numbers will appear by using the numeric clues already provided in the boxes. The more numbers you name, the easier it gets to solve the puzzle.

Start The Season With Sizzling BBQ (NAPSA)-When warm weather makes working in the kitchen or tending the grill seem more like a chore than a celebration, you can use delicious, ready-made BBQ to beat the heat. Whether you use the grill, a slow cooker or an oven, preparing a festive feast for family and friends doesn’t have to be difficult. Avoid the hassle with products such as Byron’s Pulled Pork BBQ. This restaurant-quality pulled pork is found in the freezer section at Sam’s Club and is a great way to enjoy mouthwatering taste without the trouble. The pork is hickory smoked for hours, then hand pulled and basted with a sweet and spicy sauce. For a Mexican fiesta, try using it to make BBQ Empanadas or BBQ Nachos served with fresh tomato salsa and a green salad. Lighten up your table and be the talk of the town with a Layered BBQ Salad. For all of the flavor with none of the fuss, a crowd favorite can be found in a build-your-own-BBQ bar. Line up popular toppings such as tomato, slaw and cheese with soft buns and steamy barbecue for a quick and delicious personalized meal. For more recipes, visitwww.ByronsBBQ.com. cups Byron’s BBQ, warmed according to package directions tablespoons red onion, finely minced cup dill pickles, minced cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded packages prepared pie dough egg, lightly beaten BBQ sauce for dipping

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Coat a baking pan with nonstick cooking spray; set aside. In a medium mixing bowl, combine BBQ, onion, minced pickles and cheese. Roll out pie dough and cut into circles using a 3-inch biscuit cutter. Brush egg wash around edges of each circle. Place a scant tablespoon of BBQ mixture in center of each circle. Carefully fold over the circle to form a semicircle. Crimp the edges with a fork; place on prepared baking pan. Brush tops of empanadas with egg wash and bake for 22 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with your favorite BBQ sauce for dipping. Serves 8. LAYERED BBQ SALAD 3 1 2 1 2
