How to Use the Temporary Removal Requests Tool in Search Console to Hide Content?

Site owners can temporarily remove content from Search Console only. Additional steps must be taken to remove content permanently. It’s also helpful to know that the removal tool cannot be used for anything other than managing search results from your website.

Temporary Removal Requests Google temporarily removes specific pieces of content from your site when you submit a temporary removal request.

This tool can be used, for example, to remove a URL from search results. The temporary removal request lasts for six months if it is successful.

How to Use the Temporary Removal Requests Tool in Search Console to Hide Content?

Site owners have six months to adjust their content so that it can be seen or find a more permanent solution. It is being removed by Google because it wants to remove it. Search Console allows site owners to access their removals report directly from the navigation bar.

As soon as you select the google outdated content removal report tab, the temporary removals section of the report should automatically open. From there you can send a removal request.

There are two kinds of removal requests available: Temporarily remove URL: Delete the cached copies of the page for around six months and block the URL from searches on Google Clear cached URL: Removes the cached page and deletes the page content snippet in search results until the page is crawled again.

In the report, you’ll notice the URL, the kind of removal request, the date the request was submitted, and the status of the proposal. You can also utilize the report to withdraw the request if it’s no longer required.
