When McCoy sold as a yearling he was one of the best bulls at Spickler Ranch with his super correct leg structure and feet as well as the calving ease to boot. After seeing his first set of bulls and how they inherited the phenotype and correctness of McCoy it was clear he was a true breeder. Last December while touring the AI studs, down in Montana, we viewed 1100+ bulls and he was the best overall bull out of 4 different locations and caught the eye of many breeders.
124 Smart Farms was fortunate to purchase some of the first semen in Canada and the calves have not disappointed. They are early gestation and are born up to a week and a half early and then grow like crazy. Look for a lot more of his influence to show up in years to come.

S ALLIANCE 3313 S CHISUM 6175 S GLORIA 464 BROOKS EXT 792 BASIN CLOVA PRIDE 933L BASIN CLOVA PRIDE 776J Chisum has been blazing a trail with his impressive performance, feed efficiency, and overall presence as an outstanding genetic powerhouse. With his semen unable to come to Canada I felt we needed to get a piece of his legacy and when I was contacted by Nathan Spickler about Trailblazer I jumped on the opportunity. Trailblazer sold for $15000 to Select Sires, Spickler bred for two cycles and sent him to Ohio. Trailblazer didn’t want anything but the real thing so we purchased him and became joint owners with Spicklers. This guy has proven his ability for calving ease while maintaining his high weaning and yearling EPD’s. Trailblazer’s first daughters are milking here at Smart Farms and they are outstanding.

Image Maker females are those 15-16 yr old cows that are still working and raising bull calves in purebred herds across the country. Darin and I figured Ten X and Image Maker would make one heck of a combo.
