EveryOctober,BridgewaterwelcomestheBridgewaterRaritanHighSchoolCheerTeam,incoordination withDancefortheCure’sRibbonsofHopeinitiative,whohangpinkbowsattheBridgewaterMunicipal Complexasasignofhope,support,triumph,andcommemoration.

In2024,over297,000newcasesofinvasivebreastcancerwillbediagnosedintheU.S.,withmorethan 40,000Americanstragicallyexpectedtolosetheirlivestothedisease.Despitethesedauntingfigures,there ishope.Since1989,thebreastcancermortalityratehasdroppedbyover40%,savingmorethan400,000 livesthankstoadvancementsinresearch,treatment,andawareness.

OrganizationslikeDancefortheCurehavebeen instrumental in this progress. As a volunteer-led initiative, Dance for the Cure has donated over $970,000 to breast cancer patients in Somerset, Hunterdon,andMiddlesexcounties.
