Our dedicated Bridgewater Police Department went above and beyond, serving 1,000 hot dogs and 1,000 hamburgers to ensure everyone had a delicious meal to enjoy. We were also joined by Sparkee from the Somerset Patriots, who entertained us all night long with his antics. Families enjoyed activities for all ages, from the bounce houseandskateboardingdemostosoccer skills, plus up-close looks at a SWAT truck, fire engines, EMS vehicles, and rescue equipment thanks to our incrediblefireandEMSteams.

Thankyoutoeveryonewhoattendedandtoallthehardworkingstaffandvolunteers whomadethisnightsospecial.Yourenthusiasmandsupportarewhatmake Bridgewatersuchanextraordinaryplacetolive.Lookingforwardtomanymore wonderfuleventswithourcommunity!

TheBridgewater-RaritanRegionalSchoolDistrictheldaspecialceremonyonOctober25torededicate theJohnBasiloneMemorialFieldafterrecentupgrades,whichincludednewbleachersandrestrooms.

MayorMatthewMoench,alongwithBridgewaterCouncilmenAllenKurdylaandMichaelKirsh,joined CongressmanTomKean,RaritanMayorNickCarra,andRaritanCouncilmanKennethDigrazianoat therededicationceremony.TheceremonyalsofeaturedtheunveilingofamonumenthonoringMarine Sgt.JohnBasilone.Basilone,acelebratedWWIIwarhero,wasbornandraisedinRaritan.Originally installedinNewarkin1960bytheDisabledAmericanVeterans,themonumentwasrediscoveredduring arecentconstructionproject.

We are pleased to announce that in the monthofNovemberourSeniorCenterwill seesignificantupgradestoourparkinglot.

WeanticipatethattheSeniorCenterwillbe closed from Wednesday, November 27th throughWednesday,December4th,forthe workontheparkinglottobecompleted.

TheBridgewater-RaritanHighSchoolFreshmanGirlsSoccer teamheldaclinicforBridgewaterUnited’s2015Greyhoundsand 2016PanthersonSaturday,October19th Theteamdidan amazingjobsettingupandleadingdrillsandinstructionforour girlswholearnedsomuchfromthem!Theclinicendedwitha soccerpinataandeveryGreyhoundandPanthertakinghomea personalizedpumpkinwiththeirnameandnumberonit!The BUSCgirlswereincrediblygratefultotheirnewfriendsonthe freshmanteam,andweresuretobringthemeachaflowerattheir lasthomegame,whichtheystayedtowatchthemwin,4-0!

Filledleafbagswillbepickedupcontinuouslyon a rotating basis throughout the town by the Public Works Department from November 1st throughDecember31st.Definitivepick-uptimes cannot be provided due to variables such as number of stops, number of bags, emergencies, and inclement weather. On average, it takes 7 to 10businessdaystogetthroughtheentiretown.
