Department Updates

Stay informed, stay engaged.

As we look back on the month of May, I want to thank all who joined us for two special events that highlight the strength and spirit of our community.

Our annual Memorial Day Parade was a moving tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country, and I was proud to see so many residents come together in their honor. I also want to congratulate the graduates of the Bridgewater Police Department’s Citizens Police Academy—your dedication to learning about law enforcement and public safety is commendable.

Looking ahead, June brings several important events. The Primary Election will take place this month, and I encourage all eligible residents to make their voices heard. As a reminder, the Bridgewater Municipal Courtroom will once again serve as a Somerset County early voting location. Any Somerset County registered voter can cast their ballot in person in the courtroom between June 3 and June 8. See the graphic in the Clerk’s Corner for all the details. Also, mark your calendars for the rescheduled JCC Family Fun Spring Carnival, a great opportunity for families to come together and enjoy a day of fun right here in Bridgewater.

This month marks the end of the school year and the start of the summer. Wishing you all a wonderful time of transition!
