June was an incredibly busy month, and I hope you take theopportunitytoreadabout all the things that have happened. We celebrated Eid with our first-ever Crescent Moon lighting, we welcomed two new officers to the BPD, we began updates to our Municipal Turf Field, and we reopenedKidStreetpark.

Perhaps most exciting of all in the life of our community was the celebration of an absolutelymonumentalvictory TheBridgewater-RaritanHighSchoolBaseballTeam clinched the State Championship of the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association’sGroup4tournament.Thisisthefirststategroupchampionshipinthe historyofBridgewater-RaritanHighSchool.

We were absolutely thrilled to issue a proclamation on behalf of the team and the coachingstaffatthelastCouncilMeetinginJune.Theseplayers,coaches,andsupport staffhavedemonstratedanincrediblededication,workethic,andcultureofexcellence thisyear,andtheyhaveatremendousvictorytoshowforit Congratulationstoevery memberoftheteam,andmayyourvictoryinspiregenerationsofBridgewaterathletes esoproudofallofyou

Bridgewater Celebrates Eid

Inthepastmonth,BridgewatercelebratedEidAl-Adhawiththefirst-everlightingofthenewTownshipCrescentMoon Itwasabeautifulafternoonandwewerethrilledtoseesomanymembersofourcommunityinattendance.

AttendeesenjoyedamusicalperformancebyBridgewater-RaritanHighSchoolstudentMusaAhmed,inspiringwords from fellow student Inaaya Ashar, insightful remarks from Dr. Ahmed Metwally, the Al Falah Center's Religious Director,andavoiceoftruecommunityspiritfromZahidQureshi,theAlFalahCenter'sPresident.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended and contributed to the event, making it a memorable and historic day for Bridgewater Township. Let us continue to support and celebrate each other as we build a stronger communitytogether.

Wearethrilledtoannouncetheinstallationofnewturfatthe MunicipalTurfField.Thisexcitingdevelopmentpromisesto enhance the quality and durability of the playing surface, providingatop-notchexperienceforallathletes.However,we kindlyaskforyourcooperationastheTurfFieldwillbeclosed topublicuseuntilthenewturfhasbeenfullyinstalled.

Manyresidentsmayask:whyaturffield?Turffieldsrequire lessmaintenance,provideaconsistentplayingsurface,andare moreresilienttoadverseweatherconditions,ensuringthatour communitycanenjoyyear-roundsportsactivities.Thankyou for your understanding and patience as we make these improvementsforthebettermentofourfacilities.

Mayor Matthew Moench issued the oaths to the Bridgewater Police Department’s two newestofficers:OfficerRyanStruckandOfficerArturoGonzales.Wearethrilledto havethesetwoexcellentofficersjointheBPDteam.
