As we approach the close of another year in Bridgewater, we are reminded that seasons of service inevitably give way to seasons of change. This month, we honor several longstanding public servants whose dedication has helped shape the character and strength of our Township.
Captain Tennant and Captain Savare each conclude nearly three decades of distinguished service with the Bridgewater Police Department. Their leadership, unparalleled professionalism, and unwavering commitment to the safety of our residents have left an indelible mark on the department and on our community. We are deeply grateful for the example they set and the stability they brought to an agency that protects us every day.
We also acknowledge the conclusion of service for Councilmen Howard Norgalis, Allen Kurdyla, and Filipe Pedroso at the end of the year. For many years, each has played a meaningful role in guiding our Township government, lending their time, experience, and thoughtful leadership to the work of representing Bridgewater’s residents. Their contributions across numerous committees, initiatives, and municipal decisions will continue to benefit our community long after their terms conclude. As we bid farewell to these dedicated individuals, we do so with gratitude for their service and with confidence in the foundation they leave behind. Bridgewater is stronger because of their commitment. As we look toward the new year, we do so with appreciation for all who step forward to serve, and with continued optimism about the work ahead for our community.
