As we soak up the final weeks of summer break, I want to take a moment to highlight the energy and momentum building across Bridgewater.
This month’s Bulletin captures the spirit of our community—from the bravery of Officer Noah Allatt, who was recently honored by Congressman Tom Kean Jr., to the exciting ribbon cuttings at L.L.Bean and Applebee’s, where revitalized spaces and new businesses continue to strengthen our local economy. We’re also making meaningful progress on long-term priorities. In July, Bridgewater successfully held its annual note sale—an important financial tool that helps fund capital projects. This year, we had six competitive bidders (two more than last year), and we secured a lower interest rate than in 2024, which was also the lowest in the state for that sale. That’s a direct result of Bridgewater’s sound financial management and strong reputation in the marketplace—and it ultimately saves taxpayer dollars. At Camp Cromwell, we’re finally able to move forward in earnest. With the federal HUD agreement now finalized, our team is advancing the next phase of work, including concept planning and community engagement. This historic property has incredible potential, and we’re committed to seeing it thoughtfully transformed, thanks in large part to the $4 million federal grant. Whether we’re investing in infrastructure, supporting local businesses, or preserving open space, everything we do is about building a Bridgewater that future generations will be proud to inherit. Enjoy the rest of your summer—and as always, thank you for being an engaged and vital part of our Township.
