Stay informed, stay engaged.

Hello, Bridgewater! I'm excited to share with you the highlights of our 2024 municipal budget, which underscores our commitment to delivering essential services while staying fiscally responsible. This year, we're focusing on key areas such as infrastructure improvements, public safety, transparency initiatives, and enhancing our parks and recreation spaces. Despite challenges from state and federal mandates, we're determined to continue providing the services you expect and deserve. One of our top priorities is investing in infrastructure. This budget ensures safer and more efficient transportation by upgrading and maintaining our roads, and we're also focusing on improving our sewer utility. Public safety is paramount, so we've increased funding for our Police Department, adding new officers, training programs, and equipment, as well as deploying license plate readers to keep our community secure.

Transparency is a cornerstone of our governance, and we're making strides to keep you informed and engaged. We're revamping our town website to be more user-friendly and are continuing to livestream town meetings. We're also addressing budget realities like affordable housing and stormwater management, which are state and federal mandates that require significant resources.

Other highlights include investing in our parks and recreation facilities to enhance community life, and supporting our seniors through improvements at the Bridgewater Senior Center. We're committed to maintaining quality services amidst rising costs, thanks to strategic planning and efficient spending practices.

Thankful for all of you,

Mayor Matthew C. Moench
