You may remember from last year ’ s Master Plan video series that the Bridgewater Master Plan is a guiding documentmuchlikeablueprintoramap, thathelpsustocastavisionfor Bridgewater’sfuture-thinking about everything from our roads, to our neighborhoods, to our green spaces, to our thoughtful consideration of what we want Bridgewater to looklike10yearsfromtoday.

WhileourprofessionalteamhasbeenworkingdiligentlyontheMasterPlanforthepast year, we need to hear from you. You, the residents of Bridgewater, are the most importantvoicesinthisprocess.Thisiswhywehopeyoujoinusatthisworkshop-to provideyourinput,yourvision,andyourthoughts.

Bridgewater to Receive $4 Million through Federal Appropriations Bill to Improve Camp Cromwell

At the Council Meeting on March 21st, Township Administration announced the approval of a $4 million federal appropriation for Camp Cromwell's improvements, securedthroughCongressmanTomKean,Jr.’sOfficeinthe Summer of 2023. Mayor Matthew Moench expressed gratitude for the support, highlighting its significance for the community's well-being and quality of life, envisioning CampCromwellasavibrantspaceforrecreationandnature appreciation.

Camp Cromwell, a 100-acre park acquired in 2017, has served various purposes including police training due to remediation needs before public use Council President TimothyRingcelebratedthe$4millionallocationaspivotal for Camp Cromwell's integration into Bridgewater's parks system. Plans include active and passive recreation, with community involvement crucial for effective fund utilizationalignedwithlocalneedsandaspirations.

At the March 7th Council meeting, Juliana CoehlowassworninasthenewDeputyClerkof BridgewaterTownship. JulianaisaBridgewaterresident,andhasworked intheClerk’sofficeforthepasttwoyears.Sheis known for her incredible dedication, professionalism,andattentiontodetail.

Juliana will serve the residents of Bridgewater as theirDeputyClerkwithintegrity,excellence,and grace.Thankyou,andcongratulationsJuliana!

In Bridgewater, we emphasize and pursue, from a policy perspective, the need for reasoned and sustainable economic development. Our community offers not only a convenient location for businessesbutaccesstoaneducatedworkforcethatcanputcuttingedgebusinessesonapathto success. When any business, large or small, makes the decision to join our community, it is a testamenttothehardworkofmanyandwewelcomethemwithopenarms.

InFebruary,wewelcomedoneofournewestbusinessesandcommunitypartnerstotown,Cellares. CellareswilloccupyalocationalongtheRoute202/206corridor,whichhaslongbeenahuboflife scienceinnovation.Thisnewadditiontoourbusinesscommunitywillhelptofurthersolidifythat standing.

Cellares'brandnewcommercialscalefacilitywillbringapproximately350newjobstothearea,not tomentiontheeconomicimpactonlocalrestaurants,hotels,andotherretailestablishments.

The significance of Cellares’ smart factory, however, extends beyond those axillary economic factors.Thousandsofuniqueandpersonalizedtreatmentswillbemanufacturedatthissite,playing acriticalroleinacceleratingaccesstolife-savingcelltherapiesforthousandsofcancerpatients.

Theworkdoneinourbackyard willturnpatients’hopesfora treatmentintoreality,nodoubt impactingcountlessindividuals andfamilies.

TheTownshipwillcontinueto encouragetheseusesalongthis corridoranddoourparttomake Bridgewateraplacethatthese businessescangrowandthrive whilemaintainingthequalityof lifethatourresidentsexpectand deserve.
