Last week I had the opportunity to visit the Maternity Ward at RWJ Somerset, the hospital that serves many of our residents in times of both birth and crisis. We recognized the amazing work that the staff there does on behalf of mothers right here in Bridgewater, and thanked them for their dedication.
February is busy, let’s talk about what is going on this month: First, I encourage all dog owners to take advantage of Dog Licensing Day, this Saturday at our Clerk’s office. Licensing helps us keep our community safe and supports efforts to return lost pets to their families. We are also thrilled to once again partner with the Bridgewater Chinese American Association to celebrate Lunar New Year. This event showcases the rich cultural heritage within our community. I encourage everyone to participate in this vibrant celebration. For those interested in enhancing their home safety, the township is offering free radon test kits to residents. Radon is a serious but often overlooked health risk, and testing is an easy step toward protecting your family. Additionally, the Bridgewater Police Department will once again be hosting its Citizen’s Police Academy, an incredible program that provides insight into the work of our officers and the role of law enforcement in our community. I hope you apply! We typically have one more winter event in February, so stay safe and warm and enjoy the last days of winter!
