Bring your four legged friends and enjoy an afternoon of fun at the J! Dog Day at the J takes place on Sunday, September 7 from 10am-1pm. The event--which benefits the JCC Scholarship Fund--will be a fun-filled day for dogs and their families. There will be many activities including: “Ask the Vet,” “Ask the Groomer”, Free Dental Exams, “Bakery” of Pet Treats, Kids Crafts Corner, vendors. dog adoption through local rescue agencies, contests including Best Costume, Pet Tricks, Dog/Owner Lookalike and more. Special appearance by Sparkee from 11am-12Noon. Door prizes and food will be available for purchase. Admission is free and the event is open to the entire community. We welcome Jim Sheerin, our new Assistant Head Coach for the Bridgewater Tide Swim Team. He is from Cranford, NJ and graduated from Kean University with a degree in Sociology. He has been swimming for 19 years and has been coaching for 6 years. His favorite swimming event to participate in is Open-Water Swimming. Jim is very excited to coach the Bridgewater Tide Swim Team and is enjoying getting to know our swimmers and their families. The Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning
The Florence Melton Adult Mini-School is an innovative adult Jewish learning experience. It enables participants to achieve a strong foundation of Jewish knowledge in just two years. Students of varying backgrounds form a community of learners who explore Jewish texts and begin to understand how Judaism developed and what Judaism means to them. The pluralistic approach fosters an atmosphere of warmth, respect, and mutual understanding.

Engaging Israel: Foundations For A New Relationship Begins Sunday, Oct. 26 • 4:00-6:00pm at Temple Beth-El, Hillsborough
Engaging Israel is a video lecture and discussion series from the Shalom Hartman Institute, Jerusalem, focusing on the great questions raised by Jewish statehood. It represents a shift from the often rancorous debate about what Israel does or doesn’t do right, to an engaged dialogue about the challenges, opportunities and possibilities of Jewish sovereignty and empowerment. Engaging Israel will include nine sessions running October 26 through June 7 and will be led by Rabbi Arnie Gluck at Temple Beth-El in Hillsborough.

Trip to the 9/11 Memorial and Museum
Tuesday, October 7 • 10:00am-4:30pm An educational and historical institution honoring the victims and examining 9/11 and its continued global significance. Thursday, October 30 • 10:00am-5:00pm Examine the impact of World War II and the Nazi genocide on Jewish lives and communities in Europe. Participants will explore issues of continuity of cultural identity, responsibility to community and decision-making. $60/person includes a 90-minute guided tour plus 1 hour to explore the museum. Actors are situated throughout the city streets and put on an exciting and entertaining show for people of all ages. The fee is $75/person and includes admission for “The Ride” and transportation. Lunch will be on your own prior to The Ride.
A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder Wednesday, Nov. 12 • 10:00am-6:30pm Join us for a fun afternoon on Broadway! Tickets are $140/ person and include front mezzanine seats at a 2pm matinee showing of A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder. Round trip Coach Bus transportation is included.
