WADE C. LONG Wade C. Long has been musically inclined for as long as he can remember. Raised in a family with diverse tastes in sound, he began singing at the age of 3. By age 6 Wade had written his first song, a rap, and he was leading songs in his church choir.

ing his debut LP Love Is, in 2014. Two years later he collaborated with dance band,
Zona, lending lead vocals on their single
Love of My Life, and also his producing talents to several other songs on their album Peace Love Understanding.
Continuing to record, Wade finally released his first LP in 2020. The timely
release of Nostalgia gave listeners an
upbeat outlet from a year that was left
grief-stricken by a worldwide pandemic
and social unrest. Wade was rewarded by seeing his music reach several Smooth Jazz and Soul accolades, the highlight
being voted a finalist for Soultracks.com’s Reader’s Choice Award for New Artist of the Year.
As Nostalgia continues to receive international airplay, Wade C. Long is returning
with his second full-length album. Longitude will be released in three parts. Part One of the self-proclaimed “feel-good”
record will be subtitled Keys Please. It releases worldwide on April 30, 2021.

Sheryl Laukat is passionate about the saxophone and the company she formed with her husband back in 1998. Tevis and Sheryl Laukat had the idea of creating a saxophone with acoustics that could be adjusted and modified even after the instrument was created. Their ideas and innovation led to the establishment of Cannonball Music located in Sandy, Utah. Although the saxophone was their first product, the couple has since focused on bringing unique designs to their trumpet and clarinet lines as well. Sheryl’s pride and dedication to the company is as bright as her ever-present smile. COFFEETALK JAZZ MAGAZINE

The Stuff That Dreams Are Made Of World War II, Oscars were made of painted plaster for three years. Following the war, the Academy invited recipients to redeem the plaster figures for gold-plated metal ones. Achievements in up to 25 regular categories will be honored on February 24, 2019, at the 91th Academy Awards presentation at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center. However, the Academy won’t know how many statuettes it will hand out until the envelopes are opened on Oscar Night. Although the number of categories are known in advance, the possibility of ties and of multiple recipients sharing the prize in some categories makes it impossible to predict the exact number of statuettes to be awarded. As in previous years, any surplus awards will be housed in the Academy’s vault until next year’s event. More than 80 years after that auspicious gathering in Hollywood, Oscar’s success as a symbol of filmmaking achievement would probably amaze those who attended the dinner, as it would its designer, Cedric Gibbons.
