Austin D. Jackson was an all PAC-12 selection and a three-year starter at left tackle for the University of Southern California. Austin was the 18th overall selection in the 2020 NFL draft and the third generation from his family to attend USC. Austin’s charitable giving include the Bridge Builders Foundation, “Be the Match” National Bone Marrow Donor Program, and the American Cancer Society’s “Relay for Life” program. Former USC Trojan offensive lineman and current Miami Dolphin offensive tackle, Austin D. Jackson, will commit to a $100,000 investment in BFF’s existing platform that provides financial support, mentoring, and coaching for African American male high school seniors as they matriculate through college. The additional funding establishes new “Austin D. Jackson” sponsored scholars in the Start to Finish Scholars Program and special appearances at the annual Salute dinner to award scholarship recipients. “I was raised in a family that believes in community service and commitment to education. We have a family history modeling a lifestyle of giving and ‘lifting as we climb.’ My initiative’s partnership with the Bridge Builders Foundation will provide resources to young African Americans Scholars and increase access to the under served members of our community as they navigate through our educational system. We believe that Education is key to social awareness and sustainability.

In this role, Michael directed the daily activities of over 400 team members responsible for exceptional guest-related services and positive financial results. Under Michael’s leadership, the hotel earned the coveted distinction as Trip Advisor’s #2 ranked Business Hotel in Los Angeles in 2011 and 2012. Also, in 2011, Corporate Hotels in Meetings Magazine ranked The Sheraton Gateway as one of the Top 50 Hotels for meetings in the United States. In addition, in 2011, Starwood Hotels and Resorts nominated the Sheraton Gateway Los Angeles for national recogni tion in three key categories, including Sales and Marketing Team of the Year, Revenue Management Team of the Year, and the best Food & Beverage Hotel. The portfolio includes national brands in its portfolio, including Bulgari, Victoria Secret, Hugo Boss, Armani, Tumi, Michael Kors, Starbucks, Coach, Fred Segal, Harley Davidson, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Panda Express, to name a few.

Michael is a graduate of Pepperdine University Graziadio Business School, earning the prestigious President and Key Executive, Master of Business Administration degree. He also graduated from Columbus State Community College and attended The Ohio State University. He enjoys cycling, golf, and traveling with his best friend and wife, Stasia, together, they founded the Annual Save Africa’s Children Golf Tournament, which raised over $400k of much-needed support for more than 400 orphanages in Africa. Dr. Parham is the 11th president of California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH), a highly diverse, metropolitan university primarily serving the South Central and South Bay areas of Los Angeles County. Starting with a reading circle presentation on 1619 and slavery (provided by Tabahani Book Circle), and continuing with a host of cultural and social inputs to promote individual and group growth.
