You’ll hit the ground running at Brewster when you master these BOBCAT TERMS
and traditions.
Bobcat and Bell
Pat the bronze Bobcat at Brown Field for good luck before a game. Ring the bell for victory!
The Ac [pronounced: “ack”]
What we call the Academic Building, home of your academic team and most classes.
Grayson
“Student center” doesn’t do it justice—it’s the beating heart of campus in the Rogers building, also home to our arts programs and Robotics Lab.
The Smith
Never miss a game or pep rally—just make your way to this center for athletics and wellness.
Senior Seals
Only seniors and post grads are allowed to step on the three Brewster seals.
Esta
Estabrook is a dining hall and dorm AND where you’ll pick up your mail and visit the Campus Store.
Our informal poll says—most students’ favorite Esta drink is…chocolate milk!
My favorite spot on campus is the Adirondack seating by the Boathouse! It’s such a perfect spot to watch the sunset and hang out with friends by the lake. ELLE ’27

“Brewster teachers will go to the ends of the earth to help you. I could reach out to a teacher with a question about physics at 9 p.m., and they’d make time for me. It made me want to give the same level of effort back—in and out of the classroom.” ROB ’20
“Through our place-based education activities and opportunities to travel and study internationally, our students are able to immerse themselves and learn deeply as they prepare for lives of purpose.”
