What an Amazing Year This year has been all about momentum. Momentum with the number of families we serve, powered by your community support that makes it possible.
In 2023, Brent’s Place anticipates serving more than 350 unique families over the course of 700+ visits the greatest number of families in our 26-year history.

With the increasing number of families temporarily relocating to the Denver area in the midst of a medical crisis - we remain laser focused on providing them comfort, safety, solace, and most importantly, hope.

While we continue our regular programming that makes Brent’s Place a home away from home - from meal support to arts and crafts to birthday and holiday celebrations – our Family Support team is going above and beyond to deepen the impact we have on each and every resident.

To maintain a sense of normalcy for residents, our team goes great lengths to spark joy, Halloween is no exception!
Special programming tailored to pediatric and adult patients this year has included:
Dave the Zookeeper brought zoo artifacts and virtual reality headsets for families to experience animals in their natural habitats.
VOLO Sports, Saunders Construction, and Medals4Mettle joined us in our courtyard to host a soccer day for our pediatric families.
Disney Immersive Experience provided a one-of-a-kind private experience that took our pediatric families inside the magic of Disney Animation.
Denver Museum of Nature and Science offered private behind the scenes tours of the Anthropology, Archives, and Earth Sciences collections.
These experiences, along with many others, build community among our resident families, providing moments of joy and much needed respite from the overwhelming stress of facing a life-threatening illness. Our team provides additional customized services to meet each family’s unique and often complex needs. While some families need help paying for medical equipment or struggle with food security, others might benefit from job training or help with relocation.
