The Breman Museum’s 2019-2020 year was filled with exceptional programs, events and exhibitions that were a testament to the museum’s distinctive history, the quality of our growing collections, and the boundless energy of our staff and board. Even though we were faced with unexpected challenges, the past year continued to surpass expectations and it is our pleasure to share the highlights with you.
The popular photography exhibition, “Henri Dauman: Looking Up,” featured images of iconic personalities of the 20th Century—the Kennedys, Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley—by Holocaust survivor and self-taught photographer Henri Dauman. The Joe Alterman Trio, with special guest Lena Seikaly, gave us an afternoon filled with music and romance for the Molly Blank Concert Series. And in partnership with First Congregational Church and Neranenah (formerly the Atlanta Jewish Music Festival), we presented a well-attended talk “African Americans, American Jews & American Popular Music”
