沈葉的打击乐协奏曲《歌声与嚣响》，由三个连续演奏的乐章组 成。第一乐章是戏剧性的，第二乐章安静如歌，第三乐章是轻巧快 速的。独奏打击乐家运用多种打击乐器，需要在喧嚣的声潮，与歌 唱般的线条间变化自如。
„在创作的那段时间里，我常想到谢尔盖·普罗科菲耶夫。每当我 想到他的欢腾的音乐，和他说的“诗意的爱”，就不由地感激他。 所以在这首作品里，我藏入了一点因素让人们也想起他。“ —— 沈 葉
SHEN Ye’s percussion concerto In Songs and Clamour is cast in three attacca movements. The first is dramatic in character; the second unfolds in a song-like calmness; and the third is light and fast-paced. The solo percussionist engages a wide range of instruments, navigating fluidly between waves of clamorous sound and lyrical, almost vocal lines.
„During my composing, I often thought of Sergei Prokofiev. Whenever I thought of his jubilant music and his words, „The Poetic Love,“ I felt grateful to him. So, I included a few elements in this work that would remind people of him.“
