DOWN ON THE FARM
This term has been both good fun and hard work on the farm. The academic year got off to a great start with some fantastic results at the Moreton Show where our Badger Face sheep won 1st place ewe and overall reserve champion, 2nd place ram and 3rd place ewe. A big thank you goes to Malcolm D in Year 8 for his brilliant help at the event.
Mal, alongside Will and Sammy (all Year 8) have continued their mini poultry management team by recruiting some Year 7 helpers this year. They all continue to look after all the poultry on the farm and sell the eggs to staff in the Common Room. All profits are then spent on anything they require for their poultry needs. A brilliant example of entrepreneurship!
The farm now has a fantastic group of boarding pupils who rise early in the morning to help the Farm Manager on the farm before school starts - a big thankyou and well done for all of their hard work this half term. This term four pupils have been awarded achievement certificates for their outstanding contribution to the school farm: Mal (Year 8), Will M (Year 8), Sammy C (Year 8) and Eloise B (Upper Sixth).
