The Bredemeijer Group Who is working for the Bredemeijer Group? The Bredemeijer Group is proud to be a diverse and inclusive company with a balanced workforce. Our team consists of 24 employees, 8 men and 16 women, fostering a dynamic and well-rounded work environment. We also value cultural diversity, with professionals from various nationalities contributing their unique perspectives and expertise to our shared success.

Where do we work? In May, our head office relocated from Utrecht to Breukelen. Some of the benefits of the new head office include easy access by train and bus, improved insulation and the presence of solar panels on the roof. The new building is completely gas-free, which will help us reduce our CO₂ emissions by 17 tons each year. A new office also calls for new furniture. The new desks are refurbished and height-adjustable. This allows employees to alternate between sitting and standing, which is better for our well-being. In addition, the new office has a more homely and welcoming feel. The open, compact layout improves the collaboration among colleagues. Where do we sell our products? Bredemeijer Group products are available in 50 countries worldwide and through a wide range of online channels.

The start of our sustainable journey Why did we start? Our company has already been incorporating several aspects of sustainability into our operations. However, up until now, we lacked a clearly defined sustainability policy. By establishing concrete goals, we can take more deliberate and impactful steps in this area. Our ambition extends beyond producing high-quality products. We are committed to create a better environment for today’s generation and leaving a lasting, meaningful legacy for those to come.

How did we start? We wanted to give everyone the opportunity to help shape our company’s sustainability efforts. To make this possible, we invited one representative from each department to join our Green Team. Together, we brainstormed and identified five key sustainability goals. Each team member then collaborated with their department to explore practical steps toward achieving these goals. Once we had gathered everyone’s input, we focused on simple, immediate actions. Removing paper cups from the office, alongside more significant, long-term changes. We also collected data to analyse our current sustainability performance and to pinpoint the areas where we can make the greatest impact. Brainstorm with Green Team

Our proud moments of 2025 We’re excited to share some of the first steps we’ve taken on our sustainability journey. Some actions may seem small, but we believe every step counts and each one contributes to meaningful change. A clear mission for the company is defined. We moved to a more sustainable new office location. Supported a day in a homeless shelter together with the team. We improved work-life balance and reduced 7 ton CO₂ by adding an extra remote working day. We donated items for a charity auction in support of KiKa. Our first products made from recycled materials are launched this year. A total of 1000 items with minor defects were donated to Kringloop Nederland (a Dutch reuse and thrift network).

Where do we source our products? Having a good relationship with our suppliers is important to us. Strong supplier relationships are a cornerstone of how we operate. We’ve built long-term, trusted partnerships with most of our suppliers, enabling us to align on shared goals, improve product quality, and work more efficiently together. Currently, the majority of our collection is manufactured in China. Looking ahead, we plan to complement our Chinese partnerships with suppliers closer to home. This year, we partnered with an Italian manufacturer for the production of our new premium photo frames. At the same time, maintaining consistent product quality is essential. We’re also mindful of our responsibility to existing suppliers and their employees and we are committed to ensuring they are not left without work or support as we evolve our sourcing strategy.

1. Reduce CO₂ emissions and minimise waste Our mission goes beyond producing high-quality products. We are equally committed to creating a better environment for today's generation and leaving a meaningful legacy for the future. To support this, we are focusing on reducing CO₂ emissions and minimising waste throughout our entire product delivery process. The following two sustainability strategies are key to achieving this goal.

2. Reuse of products We believe that extending the lifespan of our products not only reduces waste but also helps lower CO₂ emissions. That’s why we consider repairing an item to be a more sustainable option than replacing it. To support this, we offer all spare parts as standard.

3. Conscious use of materials in products and packaging By selecting high-quality materials, we ensure our products have a longer lifespan, leading to less waste and lower CO₂ emissions. We are increasingly focusing on the sustainability of the materials we use. In future product development, we aim to incorporate more recycled materials. Packaging is another key area of attention. By reducing plastic, using smaller packaging, we strive to minimise our environmental footprint and contribute to a more sustainable future.

4. Encouraging inclusivity and well-being We believe in providing equal opportunities for all individuals, regardless of their background or identity, ensuring everyone feels welcome, respected, and valued. To foster this, we are committed to creating a workplace where tasks can be performed comfortably to organising activities that strengthen team spirit. Additionally, we prioritise working with suppliers who hold valid social audits, such as those certified by Amfori BSCI or SEDEX SMETA, to ensure responsible and ethical practices across our supply chain.

5. Transparency Transparency is a core value at our company and we prioritise maintaining open communication both internally and with all our partners. Our goal is to build clearer and more transparent communication with our customers, sharing who we are and what we stand for. Internally, we believe that open and transparent communication strengthens collaboration and alignment across our teams. We believe that transparent communication encourages greater understanding, clarity and trust.

1. Reduce CO2 consumption and waste Although our office is based in the Netherlands, we source our products

from suppliers who mainly produce abroad. Our direct emissions come primarily from office activities like heating and business travel. However, most of our indirect emissions occur across the supply chain, during the production, transportation, and disposal of our products by customers. completely gas-free. More of our company cars have been replaced with electric vehicles, and we are traveling more by train. Everyone now works an additional day from home, which reduces CO₂ emissions by 7 tons per year. In addition, we have significantly reduced the CO₂ emissions from transporting goods from production to our warehouse.

Donated B-ware items to second-hand store In 2025 we moved to a new building. Last year we had already made many preparations, but during the final cleaning of our old office, we came across many samples with minor aesthetic defects. While these items are still fully functional, they could not be sold. Rather than discarding them, we chose to donate them to the Kringloop. This is a Dutch organisation with stores where people can purchase second-hand items at affordable prices. In total, we donated 1000 items to their stores. A small selection of items was also donated for a charity auction in support of KiKa.

ForestNation We decided to stop our collaboration with Forest Nation, which focused on planting trees to offset the CO₂ emissions from our shipments. This decision follows insights from several reputable sources highlighting that our donations to some treeplanting initiatives can vary in their effectiveness. As a result, we are currently exploring additional ways to further reduce our environmental footprint.

Goals for CO₂ reduction in the future This year, we started guiding suppliers to achieve a BEPI score and began calculating the CO₂ emissions of products. Next year, we aim to continue this work by supporting more suppliers in reaching a BEPI score and gaining insights into the CO₂ emissions of more products. By identifying which products contribute more or less to emissions, we can make more informed decisions in this area. We are also committed to transitioning to a fully electric fleet of company cars in the upcoming years. We will continue to consolidate shipments to the Netherlands and to our customers in order to further reduce overall CO2 emissions.

2. Reuse of products Quality has always been at the core of our company.

Articles saved by spare parts in 2025

The products we create are designed to last for many years and, in some cases, even be passed down through generations. To further extend their lifespan, we offered 250 different spare parts in 2025. In 2025 alone, we helped extend the life of 4404 teapots, 688 coffee and tea makers and 135 cutlery sets by providing these spare parts. Goals for reuse of products in the future Our goal is to continue our current strategy of offering spare parts for the products in our collection, while also ensuring that spare parts will be available for future

product lines.

Compared to 2024 we sold 50% less spareparts for coffee makers. This is mainly due to the discontinuation of two models at the end of 2023, which generated high spare parts sales

3. Conscious use of materials in products and packaging By choosing high-quality materials, we can extend the lifespan of our products. This is why a large portion of our items are made from Stainless Steel 304, and the majority of our collection is made of borosilicate glass. Why do we prefer stainless steel 304 Stainless Steel 304 is a high-quality alloy composed of iron, chromium (approx. 18%), and nickel (approx. 8%). It is an excellent choice for kitchen equipment due to its resistance to corrosion, rust, and staining, as well as its strength and longlasting durability.

100% recycled aluminum This year we launched the Moshi espresso maker in grey and blue. Its entire outer body is made from 100% post-consumer recycled aluminium and carries the GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certificate. Using recycled aluminium saves energy, cuts CO₂ emissions, and reduces mining and waste. Why we prefer borosilicate glass Borosilicate glass is a more reliable and safer choice due to its durability, excellent heat resistance and ability to withstand rapid temperature changes without cracking or breaking.

Packaging We take great care in packaging each product to ensure it arrives in perfect condition, making packaging an integral part of every item we sell. We have reduced the size of some gift boxes, cutting

down on packaging materials and transport space, which helps lower CO₂ emissions. In 2024 we created an overview of packaging materials by brand, giving us a clear basis for planning our future steps. Our next goal is to minimise the plastic in our packaging. In 2025, we explored solutions for the Leopold Vienna brand to

From styrofoam to carton

eliminate all plastic from its packaging. Starting in 2026, Leopold Vienna products will no longer contain plastic packaging, although some existing stock will still be packed in plastic. Unfortunately, in 2025 we saw an increase in plastic in the packaging of the Bredemeijer and Zilverstad brands compared to 2024. This is due to new suppliers and product introductions. For Leopold Vienna, a small reduction in plastic in packaging can already be seen in 2025.

Warehouse materials We have focused on minimising empty space to reduce transport volume and CO₂ emissions. Any remaining gaps are filled with shredded old cardboard to prevent movement during shipping. Goals for the conscious use of materials in products and packaging One of our long-term goals is to increase the use of recycled materials across our product collections. In addition, we are redesigning our packaging to reduce ink usage. This year, Leopold Vienna made significant progress by completely eliminating plastic from its packaging. Zilverstad and Bredemeijer are set to follow this approach in the coming years.

4. Encouraging inclusivity and well-being In 2024 we introduced a healthy Monday lunch and fresh fruit during the week, working with local farmers and entrepreneurs. This year an extra home office day was added to support a healthy work–life balance. To stay connected, we start each week with a short team check-in, and our annual team outing took us by boat through the canals surrounding our new office. At the beginning of the year, some of our colleagues volunteered at a homeless center.

can contribute, learn and make a positive impact together.

5. Transparency Two years ago we made the decision to be more transparent about who we are, what we do, and why we do it. We started posting behind-the-scenes content on our social media channels. In addition, we aim to provide more insight into our company through this report, giving you a clear picture of where we currently stand and where we are heading. Goals for transparency in the future In the future, we aim to gain deeper insight into our supply chain and CO₂ emissions. This will enable us to share more detailed information about the production side of our company.

Conclusion of 2025 In 2025, we translated our ambitions into concrete actions. Whereas 2024 marked the beginning of our sustainability journey, this year was about gaining deeper insight, making measurable improvements and defining a clearer direction for the future. We established a clear company mission: to create more connection for everyone by starting with understanding. This mission now guides our strategy and daily operations. We reduced our direct CO₂ emissions by moving to a gas-free, solarpowered office, expanding remote working and further electrifying our fleet. At the same time, we strengthened our supply chain approach by supporting suppliers in obtaining BEPI scores and launching products made from recycled materials. While we are proud of the progress made, we know there is still work ahead. In 2026, we will continue expanding supplier engagement, deepen our insight into product-level emissions and further reduce our environmental impact. Step by step, we are building a purpose-driven company that contributes positively to people and the planet. We look forward to sharing the next steps of our journey with you.
