A BRAVE embraces whole-person education Over 450 years ago, Jesuit education began when Ignatius of Loyola and his relatively young order of dedicated Jesuit priests designed a system of education that would embrace the whole person – intellectually, spiritually, emotionally, physically and socially – to prepare students as leaders who would have the creative skills, loving hearts, scientific innovation and wide base of knowledge to bring about a more loving and just world: the Kingdom of God. Rigorous Academics, High Performance Brebeuf Jesuit has been recognized by the Indiana Department of Education as a Four-Star School for the past 3 consecutive years— the only private Catholic high school in the state to do so. Personal Care Brebeuf Jesuit’s Academic Counseling Office provides each student with individualized academic guidance and personal care, earning both a Recognized ASCA Model Program (RAMP) and Indiana Gold Star Award for best practice in school counseling. The College Prep Advantage Brebeuf Jesuit’s college advisors work on an individual basis with each student to organize, revise, and implement a fouryear plan fitting each student’s college goals and dreams. 100% of Brebeuf Jesuit students graduate and attend a four-year college. Brebeuf Jesuit’s rigorous graduation requirements align closely with the Indiana Honors Diploma. 80% of Brebeuf Jesuit faculty have attained a master’s degree or greater in their field of study. Keeping with the changing times, Digital Citizenship has replaced Keyboarding. Electives include Studio Arts, Band and Orchestra, Choir, the History of the Holocaust, Ancient Greek, and more.
The Brebeuf Jesuit Schedule There is nothing like a day at Brebeuf. Each of your Days (1-5) has a different rhythm. Brebeuf Jesuit’s unique schedule allows time for students to meet with teachers, participate in intramural sports and clubs, and collaborate with friends.
Faith Although Brebeuf Jesuit is a Catholic Jesuit school, 50% of its students are non-Catholic and ascribe to a variety of faiths and beliefs, including multiple denominations of Protestantism, Judaism, Hinduism, Islam, Sikhism and many more diverse faith backgrounds and perspectives. ââ

65% of Braves attend retreats annually. Approximately 92% of Braves attend at least one retreat during their time at Brebeuf. We celebrate all-school Masses and prayer services throughout the year, which not only help students reflect spiritually, but learn about the beliefs and practices of Catholic, nonCatholic, and non-Christian traditions. Mass is offered daily. Campus Ministry offers a robust retreat program as well as open-door pastoral care to our Braves throughout the year to help students learn to connect with God and reflect on their values and relationships.

In addition to taking a Social Justice class, every Brave must complete 40 hours of community service before graduation, giving them the opportunity to learn how to impact the world for the better. Our Braves serve at approximately 60 agencies, including clinics, shelters, hospitals, youth centers, retirement facilities, and homes for those with physical and developmental disabilities. Many Braves go on to serve the world abroad through our service and immersion trip programs.
