I pray for our men God. I pray that more men begin to form a relationship with you. That more boys begin to grow up knowing who you are so when the storms hit they understand you would never leave them or forsake them.That your strength is made perfect in weakness and for any and all things to seek first the kingdom and its righteousness understanding all the rest would be added unto them.
I pray for healing in their homes. In their minds, bodies, and spirits. In their relationships with their kids, parents and spouse, healing in their finances and their partnerships. Thanks for covering them God. I pray that men begin to bring more men to church, and that young men begin to fellowship amongst each other until it becomes normal in our culture to walk by faith and honor you.

The one day I finally decided to take a Sunday off from my entrepreneurial pursuits changed my life forever. Imagine my surprise on June 29th when the Supreme Court sided with Gerald Graff, a postal worker who refused to work on Sabbath. It looks like the case will be sent back to a lower court to consider a new standard. But in the meantime, according to Abbie VanSickle and Adam Liptak of The New York Times, “in a unanimous decision, the justices rejected a test that had long been used to determine what accommodations an employer must make for religious workers ” According to Justice Samuel A Alito Jr, businesses would have to show a substantial increase in costs by accommodating employees.
That’s one small step towards the inclusion of God in the workplace if you ask me It also gives me hope that one day SCOTUS will overturn Engle vs Vitale of 1962 making voluntary prayer in schools legal.
I recently listened to the audiobook The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry. I listened to the book because I was in the middle of reading a few books and was in a hurry to no longer be in a hurry it’s tiring! There’s a chapter called Sabbath that I recommend everyone to read or listen to. Even if you don’t read the whole book, the chapter on the commandment of observing the sabbath will help slow the world down to be more present with what matters most.

Since the 1600s people have migrated from all over the world to America. You would think by 2023 immigration reform would allow a more humane and organized system in place that didn’t involve a law like the Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882, Japanese concentration camps, and certainly not the booby traps of 2023.
Though many immigrants make the decision to migrate to America, refugees are forced to flee This begs the question of why people escape their countries in the first place.

It takes courage to leave the confines of bondage for a better life, and half the battle is recognizing you’re bound in the first place.
Deliverance is a fight
But what if it didn’t have to be? What if, people didn’t have to flee their homeland in the first place? What if the U.S. government did a better job helping countries become a nation their citizens didn’t have to leave?
There are people God has called to be His hands and feet in the government of these foreign countries. Perhaps the answer is to go back to where we came from to help create change so that future generations aren’t forced to escape.
Not to stop people from coming to America, but to help the world become a safer place. Breaking news but, the United States is but a dot on God’s map of life
But first things first. Minorities in this country are still mentally bound, thinking we will still be the minority in years to come It’s only a matter of time before we become the majority and until we come to the realization and have people in power that reflect the melting pot of the world we live in, the current powers that be will continue to play games with human life. The first time I heard the term climate change I was listening to Leonardo DiCaprio's Academy Award acceptance speech in 2016. I initially thought he was talking about the only environment I was familiar with, that made up of many people, some of whom weren’t good to one another, in an atmosphere that needed to change.
Perhaps I wasn’t too far off, but the thought of people directly affecting the climate or the weather we experienced was a foreign concept.
However, two years later I began a job at Tesla and realized how people truly could help change the ozone layer by consuming and exerting energy differently.
It was a cool company to work for. Despite their history of mass layoffs, it seemed like people were genuinely dedicated to the mission to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy. Or maybe it was the stock options, either way, I’d never seen so many people devoted to a company.
Maybe it’s just me, but I like change. Especially for the better.
Innovation.
Newness.
The unknown if you will… ADVENTURE!
When I left the company, I left, inspired. Not to change the world, but to have like-minded people rally around a cause bigger than me.
Those same people have a hand in changing the environment in which we live.
Heat waves kill more people each year than tornadoes, floods, and hurricanes combined in both the United States and Europe. Sad to say, but we all have a hand in it.
Fossil fuels, oil, and their greenhouse gases produce man-made heat that makes our climate hotter than it would be without them.
We must assess and change the climate we have complete control over. Especially the storms we weather in our everyday lives.
Left unaddressed, we will continue to have extreme Acts of God we have no control over.
In the story of Noah’s Ark, God destroyed everyone and everything on earth with a flood, sparing Noah, his family, and a few animals.
God used the flood as a consequence of how wicked and corrupt the world was used it to wipe everyone out.
Due to extreme heat soil repels water rather than absorbs it causing heavy rain waters to flood.
Our oceans are warmer, particularly at the surface creating higher water levels and taller waves.
Combined with high winds, hurricanes can occur along coastlines causing massive flood waters.
Higher carbon dioxide levels increase heat levels, and these levels can decrease by using solar to power homes and utilizing transportation alternatives to reduce carbon emissions.
For instance, driving electric, using public transportation, carpooling, walking, or biking.
Build as strong of a foundation with God, as Noah did with the Ark to weather the storms of life.
Be selective about the people you take with you on your journey, especially during a transition.
How can I contribute to decreasing our carbon footprint?
Do I pray for the safety of my community?
Am I prepared if a storm hits?
Amos received a vision that God was going to send fire, Amos prayed for God not to, so God didn’t.
God was using fire to send judgment to Samaria which was full of selfindulgence, corruption, and idolatry. However, because Amos prayed to God to stop the fire, God stopped it.
Drought is one way fuel is created to start forest fires.
Fuel is comprised of anything from needles, grasses, and small twigs, to shrubs, grounded branches, downed trees, and logs.
Fuels need to be cleaned up to prevent ignition and spread.
When we receive warnings of any kind, it’s our cue to prevent it from happening or minimize the catastrophic effects by praying.
The fuel that sparks fire, unforgiveness, bitterness, white lies, cheating, stealing, and sin, in general, can be cleaned up through repentance.
Do I pray when I receive a warning?
Amos 7:4-6
God used Moses to warn Pharoah to let his people go before He dispersed plagues in Egypt involving disease, death of firstborn males, death of animals, and infestation.
God wanted his people that had become slaves to be set free from Pharoah’s authority.
People in power around the world abuse it. Pandemic hits due to corruption, idolatry, crime, and injustice.
Many are inconvenienced and lives are lost as a consequence. As a result, things begin to change.
Steward what you have been given appropriately. Use your God-given talent responsibly. Be responsible with your level of influence.
Be responsible for the lives God has entrusted you with.
Steward your time wisely.
Have I prayed for healing?
Healing for the mind, body, and spirit?
Healing for my community, our nation, and the world?
Exodus 7:14-11:10
A man going on a journey entrusted his possessions to his servants and gave one servant one talent, but he did nothing with what was given to him. So, the man took it and gave it to another servant .
The servant with one talent was irresponsible for what the man (God) entrusted him with.
People become irresponsible with money, talent, people, and time. Banks collapse.
Before you know it, what you’ve been entrusted with is gone.
Take responsibility for the much or little you’ve been given.
God gives based on your ability so He won’t give you more than you can handle.
Faith without works is dead so don’t assume God is going to take care of something without you putting in the work.
Am I a good steward over whom I’ve been given?
What I’ve been given, when, where or even how?
Am I grateful?
Can I make the most of what I have right now? SCRIPTURE
Matthew 25:14-30
The serpent talked Eve into eating the forbidden fruit and gave some to Adam. The serpent influenced Eve, who influenced Adam. God kicked them out of paradise, the good life.
For their disobedience. God told Adam not to eat from the tree and Adam stood by and watched as Eve was deceived, then he was deceived.
The media has a direct influence on culture and culture has influenced everyone to become an influencer.
The competition of traditional television networks changed the industry, thus shutting it down. Hollywood is at a standstill, however, represents many corporations and constructs that take advantage of its workers. Teachers don’t get paid what they’re worth and they have the most direct influence over our children.
Cut out the noise and allow God to be your only influencer.
Not just people but businesses need God too.
Incorporate God into company bylaws.
Am I under the influence of media or God?

Contrary to popular belief, we do have the ability to prevent the aftershock.
At the same time, when something bad happens, or an act of God, it doesn’t always mean we did anything wrong. God uses fire in the bible in several different ways, and one way was to save three Hebrew boys Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.
They refused to worship other gods and were ordered by King Nebuchadnezzar to be thrown into the fiery furnace. The fire that was meant for their demise was the same fire that burned up their ropes and the people that threw them in.
Many storms are tests, and the more we draw near to God, the more we’re able to discern if an act of God is a warning, a calling, or safety.
Praying for ourselves, our communities, and our land, fasting for clear instructions on how we can spiritually and naturally do our part, and repentance restores our environment back to its original intent.
God uses the weather as an effective way to get us to talk to Him.
We tend to pray more as a collective after a natural disaster or a tragic incident. God pinpoints a certain area that needs the attention of prayer. If we’re proactive and pray without ceasing, it won’t take a catastrophe for us to pray.
We all have the ability to change. Climate changes when we do.

If only people took the time to read it, they would know that according to Exodus 3 the Lord said, “ I have observed the misery of my people in Egypt, and have heard them crying out because of their oppressors. I know about their sufferings, and I have come down to rescue them from the power of the Egyptians and bring them from that land to a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey.”
In order for God to save the Israelites, he sent Moses.

He sent Moses to the King of Egypt, Pharoah to let His people go

This is the same King who ordered Hebrew midwives to kill all boys and spare all the girls
But because the midwives were God-fearing they disobeyed. He then instructed them to throw every boy into the Nile.
King Herod ordered all boys under two to be killed in his attempt to kill baby Jesus
King Nebuchadnezzar ordered three Hebrew boys to be thrown into a fiery furnace because they wouldn’t worship his god.
Royalty. The audacity of those in power to exterminate innocent lives.
Royalty.
Like those who feel entitled to pay for sex as if it’s their right
It’s one thing to hear about sex trafficking and pray for victims when God puts it in my heart, but it’s another to see what it looks like.
A few months ago, I watched the movie Eden based on a true story about a KoreanAmerican high school girl that was abducted and sold into sex slavery. From what I gathered it’s a well-oiled machine from a place of power, greed, temptation, and manipulation from the top down.
There’s the person running the operation, in this case, it was a man in law enforcement. Police officer.
The man who seduced her and lured her to a place where the exchange was made.
The woman who was responsible for keeping all the girls clean and up to date with their shots and pregnancy tests
The men who took the orders from clients and facilitated another exchange
The men who felt entitled to the innocent life he purchased.
Hyun Jae is kidnapped and delivered to a sex trafficking ring in Eden (2012)5 degrees of separation from the victim and no one was convicted enough to stop it from happening?
After watching the movie, I first wondered who these men in power were who ran these operations, and who were their clients. What would make men pay for sex?
I just couldn’t fathom all the people involved not having a soul. Until it hit me. These people are not sick, it’s a spirit
The spirit of lust.
The lust for power, money, and sex by any means.
“For everything in the world-the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride in one’s possessions-is not from the Father but is from the world. (1 John 2:16) Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe.”(2 Corinthians 4:4)
This is the same spirit that took over King Herod, and King Nebuchadnezzar that gave them the impression that it was okay to kill children for their benefit. Strip them of their innocence. A spirit that has taken over our society through seduction In our country, sex workers are glorified. Sex as a business seems perfectly normal and acceptable through porn, brothels, and escort services, furthering sexual exploitation.
It’s no wonder men in “power” think it’s no big deal to distribute or pay for sex Many not knowing that who they trafficked, or paid for could either be underage or a victim.
God warns us about seduction in Proverbs 5, but I urge you not to limit seduction to sexual seduction, but towards all things that steer you away from God.
“My son, pay attention to my wisdom; listen closely to my understanding so that you may maintain discretion and your lips safeguard knowledge ” (Proverbs 5:1-6 CSB)
There has been a rise in awareness of sex trafficking recently, but until there is a clear-cut solution, we can do what we can control and pray. Yes, cliché but if you pray long enough, you’ll begin to see that your prayers get answered so long as they are aligned with God’s will which is to free his children.
People are fighting demons and need prayer. Pray for your neighbor or anyone God places on your heart. Pray for the safety of your children and for the release of children trafficked.
On a lighter note, there is much hope for those who escape. Moses would have been one of the boys thrown into the Nile ordered by Pharoah if it weren’t for his mother and sister that helped him escape. Instead, when he became an adult, God sent him to free his people.
Jesus was supposed to be killed as a boy by King Herod, but Joseph and Mary helped him escape. When he became an adult, God sent him to die for our sins and free us all.
For the victors who escaped, my hope is that you understand your innocence was not in vain. Your life will help free others.
The Chosen, a faith-based show that depicts the life of Jesus through His followers, not only made its way to broadcast television this summer but is currently one of the only productions still standing amid the Hollywood WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.
Though the industry seems like it’s crumbling, I see the deck reshuffling. There is potential for Hollywood to become so much more than it is, but “you have not because you ask not”.
As one with fresh eyes who observed the industry over the last two and a half years as an emerging writer, though AMPTP has not agreed to what WGA proposed, I still don’t think they’re asking enough.
Since God is running things, I have faith that anything can happen. Like giving writers a seat at the table.
Yes, I know. Unprecedented, and impossible to think that the very creatives that are the lowest on the totem pole, who keep a multibillion-dollar engine running, could actually have autonomy over the work they create. Sit just as high as a decision-making network exec without having to censor the words God gave them to write. What an opportunity there is to renegotiate full creative control but seems so far-fetched with the rejection of their initial meager requests.
Just as far-fetched to think back in the nineties that a mail-order DVD business could replace the way we watched movies. But the so-called “impossible” turned into Netflix and
Netflix turned Hollywood on its head. Not to fault innovation but to demonstrate how high one must aim to fight for their dreams Sleep.
Netflix’s number-one competitor. However, the industry was wide awake when the whole world was shut down due to the pandemic, and now it’s judgment day. God is holding these entities accountable. Illustrated in the Parable of the Vineyard Workers, God is a fair and generous God and hates to see businesses act differently than his “love your neighbor as yourself” command. In other words, treat your employees well, and the profits will follow.
They’re already making billions; can you imagine how much more God would bless the entity if they took a page from the Bible and did the right thing? The generous thing, or worse case just be fair.
Or perhaps they should take a page from The Chosen
To fund the show over the last few seasons its equity crowdfunding campaign, comprised of 16,500 people donating on average $100, has in turn become an entity generating over $200 million in revenue
You do the right thing for the right reasons, and profits will follow.
Through negotiations, God is giving an opportunity for corporations to make things right for the artists and entertainers who are responsible for feeding His sheep.
At the same time, it’s an opportunity for His actors and writers to renegotiate how they prioritize Him in their lives Do they idolize the industry they’ve become a part of? Worship their paychecks as their livelihood over Him? God is seeking their attention now that they’re at a standstill, just as He is constantly competing with the audience for theirs. On average, Americans watch 3.2 hours of television a day, and spend 2 hours and 27 minutes on social media yet spend less than 3 minutes a day with Him
He has given society a warning on both ends of the screen that has often been ignored. According to 1 John 2, He tells us not to love the world or the things in the world The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of one’s possessions are all magnified by creating and watching media. The constant need to want more. More of what we don’t have, more of what others have and to have more to impress others.
It’s no wonder He has shut it all down, trying to get everyone’s attention the best way He knows how. Through the pockets.
Don’t get me wrong, I want nothing more than for people to binge my shows, however, they will at the very least point people toward God.
Thugs, pimps, and slaves were often the stereotypical roles for African American actors depicted in the 1987 parody film Hollywood Shuffle, written by trailblazers Robert Townsend and Keenan Ivory Wayans. I’m sure much has changed for black actors since then, but over 30 years later there are many more people left exploited throughout the most glamorous, lucrative industry in the world.
While Hollywood is shuffling, it would be a travesty for writers to only ask based on what they need now, instead of asking in the name of their artistry. To become the kings and queens of the deck to sustain them when the next wave of innovation becomes their competition.
AI is a product of wanting more, faster. In this industry, if used irresponsibly will eliminate the God-given gift to create.

Does moving excite you, or scare you? Is your favorite part packing or unpacking? Consolidating prior to packing, or shopping for furniture and accessories after you’ve unpacked?
I enjoy switching up my environment every now and then and the shopping and decorating are a bonus, but what if the move we felt led to make was a mental one.
Last November, I felt pressured to move and was preparing to by the end of February of this year I kept my eyes open for a place to live, resources to move with, and instructions from God on how.
However, when the time came, I realized that the environment that needed to shift first was in-between my two ears. It was a mindset shift that needed to happen to keep up with the heightened demands of my calling
With the mental shift, it granted me more clarity on my current assignments, wisdom, and understanding of their significance, with peace that I was right where I needed to be.
But now that it’s been nine months, it’s physically time to push, and I’m prepared We arrive first spiritually, then physically Not just when it comes to shifting environments, but with ANY move of God.
