Aggie owned and operated, Stampede Coatings is making its mark on the Brazos Valley. “We take old, ugly, stained concrete and make it absolutely beautiful,” says Mark Adair, co-owner alongside his wife Kacie. “It is our goal to install the highest quality garage floors in BryanCollege Station and to provide world-class customer service along the way.” While both Aggies, Mark and Kacie actually met while attending a New Year’s event at the International House of Prayer in Missouri. Kacie was home for the holidays from her missionary service in Guatemala. The couple began a long distance relationship and the rest is history. The Adairs did not necessarily set out to be small business owners, although in hindsight, Mark confesses, “I can see how I have always had a bent towards starting things and the creative process in general.” Before becoming an Aggie, Mark attended ministry school in California, where a good friend of his ran a similar concrete coatings business. “It can be hard to start and run a business,” he explains. “But by the grace of God this one has been a joy from the start.” In terms of their Christian faith, Mark shares, “It absolutely impacts the way we do business . . . Our first and foremost accountability is to the Lord Jesus, and secondly to our wonderful customers.” Home renovation projects often provide unexpected obstacles and the Stampede Coatings team handles these with humor by rolling with the punches. Their residential work is mostly done on garage floors, but they can also coat concrete pool decks, porches, or driveways. Past commercial work has included concrete flooring in kitchens, clinics, and warehouses. “Outside of the aesthetically beautiful transformation that takes place,” explains Mark, “our floors are tremendously easy to clean and very difficult to stain. Our floors are also four to five degrees cooler than concrete, which certainly helps in the Texas heat.” So for those who have always admired that good-looking garage floor next door, Stampede Coatings is sure to provide quality service backed by honesty, integrity, hard work, humor, and a strong faith in God.

CHIPOTLE HONEY BUTTER CHICKEN AND BISCUITS Yields 18 appetizer-sized servings This easy appetizer is so good, plus leftovers work as a breakfast treat. The crunchy chicken is covered with a spicy chipotle honey butter and surrounded by a buttery biscuit. You cannot get much more Texan than that, no matter what the occasion!
Ingredients • 18 biscuits baked according to your favorite recipe or use your favorite brand of biscuits • 1 package boneless wings or crispy chicken strips from the freezer section of your local grocery store baked according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Chipotle Honey Butter Ingredients • ½ cup butter • ¹ /³ cup honey • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract • ½ teaspoon mashed chipotle in adobo
Instructions 1. Add the butter and honey to a medium microwave safe bowl. 2. Microwave on high for 1 minute, or until the mixture is melted. 3. Whisk until well blended. 4. Whisk in the vanilla and the mashed chipotle in adobo, and set aside. 5. Carefully cut the biscuits in half. 6. Spoon a little of the chipotle honey butter on the biscuit. 7. Add the hot, cooked chicken. 8. Spoon a little of the sauce over the chicken. 9. Add the top biscuit and push a long toothpick through to hold the chicken in place. 10. Repeat with the remaining chicken and biscuits, and serve hot.
