BILLINGS, MONTANA – Dr. Braxton Norwood, a seasoned scientist-entrepreneur with a passion for social impact, is not your typical philanthropist. With a background in biopharma and medtech, Dr. Norwood has founded four Montana-based

companies, securing funding from the NIH and private investors, and publishing over 25 peer-reviewed articles. Now, he’s channeling his drive and expertise into a new venture: the Unbreakables Foundation.

Unbreakables is a newly minted 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a laser focus on empowering disadvantaged families, particularly single mothers and children. Dr. Norwood’s vision is clear: “Our foundation will use donations to fund education, training, and childcare for single parents, who face unique challenges.”

The foundation’s initial programs are designed to break the cycle of poverty by equipping individuals with the skills and resources they need to thrive. This includes: Educational and Training Programs: Comprehensive resources and vocational training to help individuals secure stable employment and build fulfilling careers.

Childcare Services: Affordable and accessible childcare solutions, freeing single parents to pursue education and career opportunities without the added burden of childcare costs.

Collaborative Efforts: Partnerships with other organizations and community groups to maximize impact and ensure resources are used effectively.

Dr. Norwood’s commitment to social change is deeply personal. “We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity for a bright, independent future,” he says. “In particular, single mothers and children, who tend to be the most disadvantaged.”

About Braxton Norwood, PhD Dr. Braxton Norwood is a scientist-entrepreneur with a PhD in Medical Pharmacology from the University of Arizona. He has founded four Montana-based biopharma and medtech companies, securing funding from both public and private sources. Dr. Norwood is also the author of over 25 peer-reviewed articles and holds multiple patents. His passion for social impact led him to co-found Unbreakables Foundation.
