In Memory of Alan Eley (Chick), 1939-2022

Alan sadly died on Sunday 24th April peacefully at home. His funeral took place on Tuesday 24th May at Rainsbrook Crematorium. Alan will be remembered by many. He was Chairman and an enthusiastic member of the village bowls club, he had served on the Village Hall Committee, walked with Braunston Walkers (always to be found striding out at the front) and on Fridays chauffeured ladies to his and Mavis’s home in Mill Close for film afternoons. He also played league chess, travelling far and wide for games. He will be missed.
