By Gary J. Groman, Independent Journalist There’s just something special when Wayne Massengale and Melody Hart, his wife, perform together. Wayne is one of Branson’s premier fiddlers. He performs at the “Grand Jubilee,” “Down Home Country,” “Comedy Jamboree,” and “Branson Country USA” in the Grand Country Resort. Mel-
ody is not only a great fiddler but an extremely talented vocalist. She performs in the “Down Home Country” and “Branson Country USA” shows at the Grand Country Resort, as well as “Melody Hart Family Show” at select locations. When I see and hear them perform together, their talent is evident and is unique in its own right, but there’s more. It’s a synergy and
feeling of caring for each other that blends with their talent to create an extraordinary entertainment experience even more so. When we thought about sharing a little romance for Valentine’s Day, Branson’s Fiddling Sweethearts just seemed perfect. We used a straight Q&A approach. By K.D. MICHAELS, Staff Writer We have all heard the term ‘Random Acts of Kindness.” A random act of kindness is an action that is performed for another, often a stranger, simply to bring that person happiness. The person performing a random act of kindness expects nothing in return. In 1995, Random Acts of Kindness Day began, to encourage those acts of kindness. Random Acts of Kindness Day is February 17, and Random Acts of Kindness Week is celebrated February 13 through 19. Acts of kindness can be simple or elaborate. They might include giving a stranger a compliment, holding the door for someone, helping an elderly person carry their groceries, or making a donation to a nonprofit organization. Many times random acts of kindness include paying for a stranger’s coffee or meal or groceries, all admirable acts. But, everyone can participate in random acts of kindness, regardless of their age or SEE RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS, PAGE 20
