It is time for one of the industry’s most highly regarded events, the Vegas Showcase!!! I’m not even going to sugarcoat it folks, I’m extremely proud and thankful for the support and friends that have fanned the flames of this idea that many thought was crazy and unattainable. To each and every person that has played a role in the success of this event, I thank you.

In a world and industry that sometimes prefers to highlight smoke and mirrors, this event has bucked the trend from day one. When you study the genetic offerings, investments made, and the success stories that follow the Vegas Showcase, it is undeniable that this sale offers as much bang for your buck as any in the country! Some of the most highly successful boars, profitable females, and banner hanging prospects have originated from this sale. The best news is, this year’s sale offering is directly in line with the elite status that previous events have already established as the standard.

BRED FEMALES

All sales and guarantees are between the consignor and buyer. Sale Management will assist in any way possible to settle any disputes, but ultimately does not resume responsibility for the animals being sold, or the guarantees expressed. All announcements on sale day override any printed information.

All females are guaranteed to be bred and confirmed to the service sire that is listed in the catalog, unless otherwise announced during the day of the auction. Should it be determined at a later date that a female is *Open” an adjustment or satisfactory replacement will be offered, with the nderstanding by all parties involved that the sow represents 60% of the purchase price.

PICK OF THE CROP

Buyers are to work with the consignors to determine a final selection date for your selections. It is strongly encouraged that the buyer select their purchase no less than 7 days prior to the breeder’s respective auction, in order to avoid any conflicts.

PICK OF THE LITTER

All litters are expected to have NO less than two individuals representing the respective sex, for each lot. Should the buyer purchase a lot that does not meet these requirements, the breeder is expected to make an adjustment and/or refund that is satisfactory and fair to all parties involved. Sale management will assist in this process as needed, but ultimately all agreements are between the buyer and seller. EX: If the buyer purchase “Pick of the gilts” from a litter, that particular must have no less than 2 gilts for the buyer to choose from.

FROZEN SEMEN

All frozen semen is guaranteed to be that of the boar represented in the sale catalog. Once semen has been paid for in full, it will be up to the buyer and seller to arrange shipping and handling.

PAYMENT

ALL purchases are to be paid in full within 5 business days of the Vegas Showcase auction, NO Exceptions. Checks can be made payable to: Compass Livestock Solutions. Settlement may be made via credit card, with a 3.5% redit card convenience fee will be assessed.

One of our most talked about showpigs of our operation this summer was the Kipton Edie Champion Spot Gilt from the Exposition! Her mother was the Champion Spot Gilt & Reserve Overall at OYE in 2022. Mated to what we felt like was our favorite spot boar find of the summer. This opportunity of offspring is endless!!!

She was the Reserve Duroc Gilt at 2023 NJSA SE Reg. From our cream of the crop sow line that has been generators for years, 76-3 is a direct daughter out of Bear Claw 12-2, the Grand Gilt at Perry in 2018. She’s produced the Grand & Reserve Overall Gilts at Perry in 2020. Bear Claw 12-2 is a DIRECT daughter out of the old Boling sow, a female that made the ABF red brand what it is today! Mated to the young, up and coming Olson boar at Upperhand. Combination of mom’s stoutness and mass with Swing Your Sword’s design and feature could get interesting in a hurry!!!

17-4 - [Statement Day x 76] | Bred by ABF | Bred to Burst | Due Jan. 17-4 comes from a very good litter of pigs sold in our first Escape Average Sale. 17-4 herself was a class winner at Louisville, then went on to be the 5th Overall Duroc Gilt at the Ohio State Fair Junior Show and the Reserve Champion Duroc gilt in the Open Show. The Van Ness crew showed another sister that was Reserve Overall at the Hendricks County Fair and 4th Division 2 at the Indiana State Fair. We purchased the dam of these 17s at the Indiana State Fair Open Show where she was Champion Duroc Gilt. High quality litter mated to a highquality boar from a high-quality litter, takes the guessing game out. These should be very good show pigs!!!

Big thanks to Dave for including us in this great event!! We are beyond pumped to offer the pick of the litter of the 2-time National Champion Poland female campaigned successfully by the Dryer family!!!

This female was named Champion Poland Gilt at the ‘23 Expo & ’23 Team Purebred!!! Not to mention multiple mates to 83-7 won some big banners. Including, the 5th OVR Poland Barrow NJSS, Res Poland MLE, and the 13-time undefeated barrow on the Minnesota summer series!!! 83-7 comes from an incredible litter and the full mates from the summer are ready to roll in the Southwest. We also retained a boar from that litter that may be the best one we’ve made to date!!!

Mated to our boar we sold to Lairds’ “Fast & Furious” and we could not have more faith in this mating!!

Fast is a mate to the Champ Poland Gilt KS state fair ’23, the 4th out Poland barrow at INSF ’23 and the gilt in Cali that won a buncha banners! Fast mother is the original Richey sow that we purchased to start 650 and is the cornerstone sow here. She also raised the 4th ovr barrow INSF ’22, Res Poland gilt INSF ’22. She don’t miss. Fast mated to 83-7 puts two shots of that Richey sow in this litter. That was by intention. There is no doubt in our minds that this litter can yield barrows that can win at the highest level, gilts that can win majors, and sows that have genetic potential to be foundation females. If you’ve visited the farm, Beth Jr probably caught your eye, or maybe you stood second behind Birdie this past summer. Here’s your chance at the first pick of the Beth Jr December 8th litter to Extreme Measures our 35k boar purchase from Steve and Mark Gray Showpigs. Beth Jr was a baby pig purchase from Farnham Farms out of their Beth Extreme Measure Birdie - Daughter of Beth Jr. sow. She won multiple jackpots in Oklahoma and had a successful run at OYE. RoseBird’s Beth Jr produced Putting Out Fires at Purple Power and Double H here at the farm. We never let many Beth Jr daughters leave RoseBird and the ones that do go on to win big. Birdie racked up numerous jackpot wins across multiple states for the Wolka sisters this past summer. Her littermates had successful show careers of their own winning jackpots and state fair classes.
