The Links Institute opens in Brandon, MB. CEO, John Jackson, was motivated to found LINKS Institute after witnessing the effect the Covid-19 pandemic had on secondary/further education in Canada.

He observed that students were limited in their options for moving away from home to study, and that students needed predictability for their learning needs rather than having to flip between in person and online study. Visit

After being cancelled due to COVID-19 in 2020, Ag Ex is planning a comeback for 2021.

The Provincial Exhibition of Manitoba announced that preparations are underway to hold the annual show live and in person at the Keystone Centre from Oct. 27-30. Ag Ex started as a purebred cattle show, but has since expanded to include agricultural entertainment acts and events. It would be the first major event the Provincial Ex has been able to hold since it had to cancel the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair in March 2020. Visit
