Celebrating Independence Day Together A Fourth of July Celebration to Remember Thank you to everyone who joined us for another incredible Fourth of July celebration in Brandermill! Despite the summer heat, thousands of residents and guests came together to enjoy one of our community’s favorite traditions.

The day kicked off with the annual 7.4K Race, benefiting Connor’s Heroes, supporting Central Virginia families facing childhood cancer. Runners and walkers started the morning strong while coming together for a great cause.

The Fourth of July Parade followed, bringing neighbors, families, and visitors along the route to celebrate. With community groups, decorated vehicles, bagpipers, horses, and plenty of patriotic spirit, the parade was filled with excitement from start to finish.

The celebration continued at Sunday Park with the annual picnic featuring complimentary hot dogs, watermelon, cold drinks, live music, face painting, balloon art, and activities for all ages.

Residents enjoyed an afternoon of connecting with neighbors and celebrating together.

The evening ended with a spectacular fireworks display over the Swift Creek Reservoir, creating another memorable Fourth of July in Brandermill.

Coffee with Compliance August 12 | 10 AM - 11:30 AM | Harbour Pointe Support Local Students and Schools with our Back to School Drive We are hosting a Back to School Drive to help local students begin the school year prepared and ready to learn. Donations will support schools in our community by providing students with essential supplies they need throughout the year. Whether you donate a few items or fill an entire bag, every contribution makes a difference. Donations will be accepted through August 17 at the BCA office.

Morning Yoga Series Join us for a relaxing and welcoming yoga series led by Certified Yoga Instructor Jordan Reid of Orchid Therapy Group. Whether you are new to yoga or have years of experience, these sessions are designed to help you move, breathe, and recharge in a supportive environment.

Sessions will be held on Saturdays from 8:00 to 9:00 AM at the North Beach Clubhouse on August 1, 8, 15, and 22. The cost is $15 per person, per session. Please bring your own yoga mat to each class.

End of Summer Pool Schedule & Activities Pool Hours Saturday, May 30 – Sunday, August 16: Open daily 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM Monday, August 17 – Friday, September 4: – Weekdays: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM –Weekends: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM Saturday, September 5 – Monday, September 7 (Labor Day weekend): 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM Aquatics Classes Aquatics classes continue through August 17 at Harbour Pointe Pool. Classes are held on Mondays from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, and individual classes are $8.

Pool Birthday Parties Celebrate a late summer birthday at the pool. Birthday parties are available through the end of the pool season on Monday, September 7 (Labor Day). Two hour parties are $150 for up to 10 guests, with $10 for each additional guest.

Swim Lessons Swim lessons have concluded for the 2026 season. Thank you to our instructors, Bre Gillespie and Shelby Atkins, for sharing their knowledge and helping swimmers build confidence all summer long!

Boating Center Schedule & Rentals The Boating Center will remain open through Monday, September 7 (Labor Day). We hope you enjoy the remaining weeks of the boating season!

Monday through Friday: The Boating Center is not staffed. Rental services are available through reservation requests only. To request a weekday rental reservation, please contact Lifestyle Director Jonathan Sharp at Jonathan.Sharp@fsresidential.com.

Saturday and Sunday: The Boating Center is fully staffed, and concessions are open from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Rentals are available until the Boating Center closes and walk-ups are accepted based on availability.

Pontoon Cruises Continue enjoying the beauty of the Swift Creek Reservoir with a relaxing Branderbelle Pontoon Cruise through the fall season.

Cruises are available through October 31 and are offered seven days a week by reservation, based on captain availability.

Reservations must be submitted at least seven business days in advance (Monday through Friday). Each two-hour cruise offers a chance to relax, spend time with family and friends, and take in the scenic views of the Brandermill community.

Celebrating a Successful Makos Season Congratulations to the Brandermill Makos on an incredible season! The team finished the regular season as Division A Champions and remained undefeated through all six regular season meets. The Makos brought 81 swimmers to Champs and finished the competition with an impressive 2nd place overall finish!

We are so proud of the dedication, teamwork, and accomplishments of all our swimmers, coaches, and families. Congratulations to the Makos on a well-deserved and successful season! Learn more about the Brandermill Makos at thebrandermillmakos.com.

Find Your Place in the Community Brandermill committees are looking for residents who are interested in getting involved and helping support our community. With a variety of committees available, there are opportunities to find a group that matches your interests, experience, and skills.

Current committees seeking members include: Finance Committee Lifestyle Advisory Committee Community Appearance & Maintenance Committee Architectural Review Board Hearing Panel Communications & Marketing Committee Committee members serve in a volunteer role and play an important part in supporting the Association and helping enhance the Brandermill community.

New Features on Brandermill.com You may have noticed that our website Brandermill.com looks a little different. It’s because we have launched a new website! With a refreshed design and improved functionality, the new site was created to make it easier for residents to find information, access resources, and stay connected with the community. Here are a few new features to explore: Homepage Sliders with Direct Links Our homepage sliders now include clickable links, making it easier to access important information. If you see an upcoming event, meeting reminder, or community notice, you can click directly from the slider to learn more without having to search for the information.

Quick Links for Easy Navigation The homepage now includes quick links to commonly visited pages and topics, helping you find what you need faster. Whether you are looking for forms, events, amenities, or community resources, these shortcuts make navigating the website easier.

Fillable Online Forms Several forms are now available directly through the website and can be completed online.

Simply click into the form, enter your information, and submit it directly to the appropriate staff member. No downloading or additional steps required. Current online forms include Create an Interest Group, Committee Applications, and Tree Removal Applications. All forms can be found at Brandermill.com/forms.

We hope you are enjoying the new website and that these updates make accessing community information more convenient. We will continue making improvements to provide the best online experience.

Maintenance Trail Paving Update Trail paving has been delayed due to recent asphalt plant closures and operational issues. We understand this project is important to the comunity and appreciate your patience. We will share an update as soon as an update is confirmed.

Storm Season Reminders Summer storms can bring strong winds, fallen trees, and drainage concerns. Here are a few important reminders to help you know who to contact.

Fallen Trees Property owners are responsible for trees, limbs, and debris located on their property, even if the tree originated from a neighboring property. If a tree has caused damage to your home or personal property, please contact your insurance provider.

If a tree or large limb is blocking a roadway or creating an immediate safety hazard, contact the Chesterfield County Police Department or Fire Department. For trees affecting public roads, report the issue to VDOT, as they maintain all public roadways within Brandermill.

The BCA can only remove portions of trees located on Association-owned property and cannot remove trees or debris from private property.

Roadway Drainage Roadway drainage systems are maintained by VDOT. If you notice a drainage issue, please report it directly to VDOT. We also encourage you to notify the BCA Maintenance Department after submitting your report so staff are aware of the issue and can assist where appropriate.

Power Outages Power outages are the responsibility of Dominion Energy. The BCA office does not receive outage information and is unable to restore power, provide updates, determine the cause of an outage, or estimate when service will be restored. To report an outage or check the status of restoration efforts, please contact Dominion Energy directly or visit their outage map.
