As we reflect on our accomplishments in this issue of Impact 21-22, we acknowledge that in some ways, this “nearly normal” school year was more demanding than the previous year at the height of the pandemic. If 2020 asked us to meet the very urgent, visible challenges of keeping the campus open and safe, 2021 compelled us to tend to the invisible challenges of caring for the wellbeing of a community still recovering from the pandemic. As we transition to a new year, we continue our focus on an exceptional academic program while nurturing a culture of belonging and wellness. We are grateful to every family, trustee, and donor who patiently helped us adapt and navigate the ever-changing circumstances of our world. Thanks to you, our year was punctuated with new records set in enrollment, fundraising, and academic achievement. However, we owe our most enduring thanks to the loyal ranks of the Brandeis Marin teachers who persevered despite complex and ever-changing circumstances. Through their commitment to our child-centered program, our students experienced new heights in academic, social, physical, and spiritual growth in 21-22. In the words of Winston Churchill, “Never…was so much owed by so many to so few.”

As we gather strength from this experience, we look to further empower our beloved teachers as agents of the Brandeis Marin vision. We entrust them to equip our children for the workforce, shape public policy, be civically engaged, carry forward the Jewish tradition, and do it all from a deep foundation in ethics, personal responsibility, integrity, and kindness. In this spirit, we salute the Brandeis Marin teachers of 22-23 as they lead us to even greater achievements in academic growth, innovation, and promise.
