Nations Collaboration: Lucy Simpson

Corban & Blair have been teaming up with Indigenous artists, poets and designers since they started. Lucy Simpson is a Yuwaalaraay woman. She is the founder of design studio Gaawaa Miyay (river daughter) Designs. Through her contemporary work in design, Lucy uses visual narratives to connect, share and celebrate aspects of language, story, country and contemporary Aboriginal culture.

He is inspired by the colours of the ocean, landscape his designs and paintings have a story. Sometimes short, sometimes long which varies from painting to painting.

Our Chinese partner have worked with us for over 20 years and we have built a strong partnership with a family business. We have regular visits to the factory and their workplace, and have been working together to create products that are functional and affordable.
