From the CEO

Your library is always a hub of activities and programs to engage you in learning, literacy, and social connection, but we are particularly proud of our summer offerings. The centerpiece is the TD Summer Reading Club, along with reading clubs for teens and adults, and I encourage you to sign up to track your reading and earn chances to win prizes, and to participate in the events and gatherings that make it special. As always, we kick it off with our Summer Soirée for adults on June 26, in our newly renovated South Fletcher’s Branch in the Susan Fennell Sportsplex.

I invite everyone to experience Brampton Library locations as another “third space” outside of home and work or school, where you can explore what interests you at whatever level you want. Drop in anytime, but be sure to check out at least one of the exciting programs listed in this guide!

Some of the highlights of our events this summer include Indigenous Circle Time and Little Engineers for young children, the Book Explorers series for middlegrade children, and our Teen Meetups and Battle of the Books for teens; along with a range of interactive pograms for adults and seniors.

We are proud to partner with BAO again this year for the Summer Artist Market on July 19 at Springdale Branch Library, and our Local Authors Showcase launches on June 13 with a Book Fair at the Downtown Brampton Farmers' Market. Another partnership with BAO, the Artist in Residence, launches this summer with local textile creator Shiemara Hogarth, who will be hosting regular office hours and a series of workshops at South Fletcher’s.

to a party at the Library!

Join us at our Summer Soirée for an evening of entertainment, activities, and socializing as we kick off our Adult Summer Reading Club together.

Enjoy light refreshments and the opportunity to win a prize.

South Fletcher's Branch June 26 6:30 – 9 p.m.
