On behalf of the construction and housing professionals who make up the membership of the Mid-Minnesota Builders Association, I want to welcome you to the Fall Lakes Area Home Tour (LAHT). The LAHT offers the general public a first-hand look at the current trends and greatest innovations in new home design.

This 3-day event showcases the latest design trends in affordable living to luxury dream homes complete with every amenity imaginable. Six Homes will be featured on this year’s tour; each home is built by the exceptional Builders and Suppliers in the Lakes Area. I would like to thank BrockWhite and W.W. The Mid-Minnesota Builder’s Association (MMBA) is a professional organization designed to bring builders and members of the business community who rely on the construction trades together to continually improve the industry of home building. Our goal is to provide the best possible products and services to the general public of the Brainerd Lakes Area. We do that by insisting and helping to ensure contractors are licensed and current

with their continuing education. The number one thing for the consumer to ask of a contractor is “Are you a Licensed Contractor with the State of Minnesota?”

Contractors are required to not only take a license exam but are required to continue their education each year.

From there, consumers can check references and make sure they are dealing with a reputable contractor.

The MMBA office is open to the public and acts as a resource to align the public with specific types of products and services within the construction trades. You can visit our website and see a complete list of members by category here in the Brainerd Lakes Area. This includes finance, insurance, maintenance, home improvements, landscaping and much more. With interest rates continuing to be at historic lows, now is a good time to consider building or remodeling your home. There are a number of advancements in energy efficient upgrades to conserve energy and can save homeowners money.

Located on its own peninsula in the south side of Crosslake, this home features 270° of panoramic waterfront views.

The home’s exterior features a standing seam steel roof, copper gutters with matching rain chain down spouts, full thickness stone wainscot and accents, cedar shakes, three oversized garage doors for boat parking with custom rail systems. The car garage features fully reclaimed walls and cabinetry. The home’s interior is centered around a two-story full thickness stone fireplace accented with a fossil stone mantel. The great room includes a 6-panel lift and slide patio door with drop down electric screen. The kitchen features custom cabinetry and a custom copper range hood. The second level, which can be accessed via the reclaimed wood staircase or elevator, includes a guest kitchen, two bunk rooms, four bedrooms, and the master suite.

Most bedrooms feature private full tile bathrooms and walkout balcony. Baratto Brothers and the homeowners invite you to tour this wonderful home which was completed in 2015.

Directions: Head North on County Road 3 towards Crosslake. Turn Left (West) on CR 103. Continue 1 mile down CR 103, as the road veer left, take the right turn onto Perkins Road. Continue down Perkins which becomes an unpaved road. Follow the road to the left and park in the open area. You will be met with Baratto Brothers employees on golf carts that will cart you to the rest of the way.
