Late Laughs

The Late Show With Stephen Colbert

There have been rumors of an affair between [Prince] William and the Marching Band of Chicanery [the Marchioness of Cholmondeley] since 2019. According to tabloids, back then when Kate [Middleton] supposedly confronted him about it, he laughed it off, ... always a good response

when your wife accuses you of cheating. [As Prince William] “Haha, imagine me having an affair. It is to laugh. It reminds me of a jape. Knock, knock. Who’s there? Oh, it’s my illegitimate son. I’ve knocked up my mistress.”

Well, folks, the inevitable has inevited. Because after sweeping last night’s [March 12] primaries, Trump

Complete the grid so each row, column and 3-by-3 box (in bold borders) contains every digit 1 to 9. For strategies on how to solve Sudoku, visit sudoku.org.uk. Solution

It is March 14. Happy Pi Day. Pi, of course, goes on infinitely, which is why it has been named the official irrational number of the 2024 election.

The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

The 96th Oscars are this Sunday [March 10]. The Oscars celebrate all the Netflix movies we watched half asleep while scrolling through TikTok.

I read that a vegan bakery in New York is under investigation for allegedly

trying to pass off Dunkin’ Donuts as their own. People got suspicious when the vegan doughnuts tasted good. The owner of the vegan bakery is like, “In our defense, the hole is glutenfree.”

Spring break can get pretty wild. Right now, every bar in Florida has about 1,000 people dressed like John Cena at the Oscars. This week [March 10-16], Florida is very much like the Oscars. Everyone’s either naked like John Cena or 80 and confused like Al Pacino.

Today [March 13], the House passed a bill that would essentially ban TikTok. Can you imagine if TikTok was banned? I mean, just picture lying down in bed and then actually going to bed.

the show [the Oscars] last night [March 10] and let it be known on social media toward the end of the telecast. ... Funny, we had John Cena on stage naked and somehow [Donald] Trump still managed to be the biggest dick of the night.

Now, the bill [to ban TikTok] goes to the Senate, which means the fate of every tweenage Tiktoker is in the hands of a bunch of old white people with Hotmail accounts. This is a big deal. This is like iPhone “Footloose,” and there’s no Kevin Bacon to save us.

Late Night With Seth Meyers

Apparently, RFK Jr. is seriously considering Aaron Rodgers and Jesse Ventura as potential picks for vicepresident. Yep, Kennedy confirmed that Rodgers and Ventura are at the top of his list, which really makes you wonder who’s at the bottom. William Hung and the “Can you hear me now?” guy?

Jimmy Kimmel Live!

I have to say it’s always an honor to be asked to host an event [the Oscars] you would otherwise not be invited to.

One very prominent American who did not enjoy has locked up the nomination. [Crowd boos]. Yes, I thoroughly agree. Nomination was not what I wanted to hear after the words “Trump” and “locked up.”

Former president [Donald] Trump referred to himself in a Truth Social post this week as “Honest Don.” And at this point, I got to believe even he’s being sarcastic. ... Nobody who’s honest puts “Honest” in front of their name. If there’s a place called “Honest Don’s” in your hometown, it’s either a used car dealership or a pawnshop. Maybe a pizza place, but not the good one.

In honor of National Pi Day [March 14], Pizza Hut offered customers a free large, one-topping pizza with the purchase of a large pie. And if you eat both pizzas, you’ll have to go to the bathroom 3.14 times.

In the vein of classic prank shows, Willman and his crew use their unique skills to create elaborate and hilarious pranks to trick unsuspecting people. However, for this show, the targets of these pranks are assigned by those looking to settle an old score or teach them a lesson.

Directed by Adam Franklin (“All Growz Up with Melinda Hill”), “The Magic Prank Show with Justin Willman” is produced by executive producers Willman, Stuart Macleod (“Dangerman: The Incredible Mr. Goodwin”), Jake Laufer (“Mountain Men”), Daniel Kinno (“Backseat Comics”), Stuart Miller (“The Daily Show”) and Dave Kneebone (“Nathan for You”); co-executive producers Maryna Harrison (“How to Become a Mob Boss”) and Janel Kranking (“Comedy Bang! Based on “Scoops: Behind the Scenes of the BBC’s Most Shocking Interview” by former “Newsnight” editor Sam McAlister, this dramatic retelling of events follows Emily Maitlis (Gillian Anderson, “The XFiles”), the lead anchor of BBC Two and “Newsnight,” as she does her best to secure an interview with Prince Andrew (Rufus Sewell, “A Knight’s Tale”) to discuss his friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffery Epstein and allegations of sexual assault levied against the royal. In addition to following how BBC secured of the infamous interview, the film covers its immediately fallout. Rounding out the cast are Billie Piper (“Doctor Who”) as Sam McAlister, Keeley Hawes (“Line of Duty”) as Amanda Thirsk, Connor Swindells (“Sex Education”) as Jae Donnelly, Romola Garai (“Atonement,” 2007) as Esme Wren, Charity Wakefield (“The Player”) as Princess Beatrice and Lia Williams (“The Foreigner,” 2017) as Fran Unsworth. “Vanderpump Villa” - Season 1

As advertised by Hulu, “decadence and debauchery collide” in the new unscripted drama “Vanderpump Villa,” premiering on the streamer Monday, April 1. Lisa Vanderpump, who rose to television fame as a cast member of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” takes on another new endeavor, and is bringing fans along for the ride. In the style of her hit reality series “Vanderpump Rules,” this new series follows Lisa’s hard-working, hand-picked staff as they work, live and play at Chateau Rosabelle, an exclusive French estate.

As the staff “try to provide luxurious, once-in-a-lifetime, Vanderpump-curated experiences for guests,” the cameras also follow along behind the less-than-glamorous scenes as they deal with the “rivalries, romances, and raucous misadventures that come from living and working together 24/7” (per Hulu). Executive produced by Lisa under her Villa Rosa production banner, the series stars villa staff members including events coordinators Stephen Alsvig and Gabriella Sanon; executive chef Anthony Bar; sous chef Caroline Byl; lead server Marciano Brunette; servers Priscila Ferrari and Hannah Fouch; the chateau manager Eric Funderwhite; mixologists Telly Hall and Andre Mitchell; and housekeepers Emily Kovacs and Grace Cottrell.

“American Horror Story: Delicate” - Part 2

Continuing its entrancing and terrifying tale, Part 2 of FX’s “American Horror Story: Delicate” premieres Thursday, April 4, on Hulu. This season of the horror anthology series from Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk (creators of “Glee” and “Pose”) has adapted its story from Danielle Valentine’s book “Delicate Condition.” While the series is notoriously close-lipped about plotlines, the book’s synopsis may provide viewers with a peek at what is to come. Revolving around talented actress Anna Alcott (Emma Roberts, “Scream Queens”), the story follows along as she becomes convinced that someone is determined to prevent her from conceiving a child. Through a series of trials and tragedies, Anna is plagued by a baby no one believes in but herself. Alongside Roberts, this season’s cast includes Cara Delevingne (“Only Murders in the Building”), Matt Czuchry (“The Resident”), Michaela Jaé (MJ) Rodriguez (“Pose”), Kim Kardashian (“The Kardashians”), Julie White (“Transformers,” 2007), Debra Monk (“New Amsterdam”) and Annabelle Dexter-Jones (“Succession”).

“Wish” (2023)

Directed by Chris Buck (“Frozen,” 2013) and Fawn Veerasunthorn (“Moana,” 2016), the 2023 film, “Wish,” makes its streaming debut, Wednesday, April 3, on Disney+. With a screenplay by Jennifer Lee (“Wreck-It Ralph,” 2012), Allison Moore (“Powers”) and Buck himself, this latest endeavor features an art style that combines computer animation with the look of traditional, hand drawn animation, creating a unique aesthetic that matches “Wish’s” one-of-a-kind premise: in need of a miracle, young Asha (voiced by Ariana DeBose, “West Side Story,” 2021), makes a passionate plea with the stars in a moment of despair, only to find a great ally in the skies, in the form of a fallen star. Armed with hope and a little bit of magic, Asha finds the strength to face her kingdom’s evil ruler, King Magnifico (Chris Pine, “Star Trek,” 2009), and to inspire the people she loves the most. Bright, musical and optimistic, “Wish” features a talented voice cast, including Alan Tudyk (“Resident Alien”), Angelique Cabral (“Life in Pieces”), Victor Garber (“Family Law”), Natasha Rothwell (“Wonka,” 2023), Jennifer Kumiyama (“The Sessions,” 2012), Harvey Guillen (“Mickey Mouse Funhouse”), Niko Vargas (“Craig of the Creek”), Evan Peters (“Mare of Easttown”), Ramy Youssef (“Poor Things,” 2023) and Jon Rudnitsky (“Home Again,” 2017), among others.

“Bambi” (1942)

Spring has sprung, and baby animals are being born all around. Joining their ranks is one young and curious deer, with “Bambi” (1942) available to stream now on Disney+. Based on the 1923 novel, “Bambi, a Life in the Woods,” by Australian author Felix Salten, this animated film is directed by David Hand (“Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” 1937). The story follows the white-tailed deer, Bambi, as he embarks on his first season in the forest, meeting friends like Thumper (a busy rabbit), Flower (a sweet skunk) and Faline (a fellow fawn), who show him around the woods, teaching him the ways of the animals, as he will one day take over his father’s role as Prince of the Forest — a guardian of the woodland creatures. Curious and energetic, Bambi grows through his first year of life, experiencing the ups and downs that come with living so near human beings, and eventually, becomes a strong and wise buck, just like his father.

“Musica” (2024)

Feel the rhythm with the new romantic comedy “Musica,” premiering Thursday, April 4, on Prime Video. Living in Newark, New Jersey’s Ironbound neighborhood, Rudy (Rudy Mancuso, “Tempo”) is a charismatic young street performer struggling to find direction in his life. With a rare condition called synesthesia, that has Rudy experiencing everyday noises — from car horns to water droplets to doors slamming — as a series of complex rhythms, he struggles every day to keep the music in his head at bay. When Rudy is knocked out by a flying piece of frozen fish, fate leads his increasingly chaotic life to Isabella (Camila Mendes, “Riverdale”), who may understand him in ways no one else ever has. “Caught in a love triangle, Rudy tries to balance his cultural heritage, the women in his life and the musica inside his head” (per Prime Video). Directed, co-written, executive produced, composed and choreographed by Mancuso, “Musica” is also written by Dan Lagana (“American Vandal”). The film also stars Francesca Reale (“Stranger Things”) and J.B. Smoove (“Curb Your Enthusiasm”). Produced by McG (“Supernatural”) and Mary Viola (“Shadowhunters”), the film is also executive produced by Mendes, Lagana, Bruce Wayne Gillies (“American Fiction,” 2023), Steven Bello (“Love Hard,” 2021), Robbie Chernow (“Family Switch,” 2023), John Shahidi (“Stories from Our Future”) and Sam Shahidi (“Benny’s Bee Adventures”).

When the series began, it saw London teenager Alex Rider (Otto Farrant, “The White Queen”) learning that he had been trained for the dangerous world of espionage since he was a child. This new season, adapted from the fifth Alex Rider novel, sees the young spy hunting down his greatest enemy: the elusive criminal network known as Scorpia, who plans to use their catastrophic new super-weapon, the “Invisible Sword,” to extort the British government. Freed of The Department, Alex’s mission is personal as he works to take down Scorpia once and for all. Also starring Vicky McClure (“Line of Duty”), Brenock O’Connor (“Game of Thrones”), Stephen Dillane (“Vigil”), Ronke Adekoluejo (“Rain Dogs”), Marli Siu (“Everything I Know About Love”), Sofia Helin (“The Bridge”), Shelley Conn (“Gen V”), Kevin McNally (“On Your Behalf,” 2022) and Jason Wong (“Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves,” 2023).
