In 2023, we took on Braham Hall and its barns, and began imagining what this special corner of Suffolk could become. There was something about the farm, the surrounding landscape and the history held within the estate that made us feel it deserves a new chapter. Our vision is to create a beautiful place that retains it’s own character- where couples can bring their own ideas to life and create a wedding that feels truly theirs. The barns will sit at the heart of it all, with the Dedham Vale AONB providing a beautiful backdrop. Our new vineyard, the courtyard and the surrounding grounds will offer lovely spaces to gather and capture those moments you’ll look back on for years to come. We’re creating a venue that feels welcoming, thoughtful and full of rustic charm, while giving you the freedom to bring in your own caterers, suppliers and personal touches. We want you to feel that this is your day, your way. There’s still a journey ahead as we bring our plans to life, and we’re excited to share that journey with you. Brantham, Suffolk Nestled in the village of Brantham, near Manningtree, Braham Hall enjoys a beautiful setting overlooking the Dedham Vale. Surrounded by open countryside and rolling landscapes, it offers a peaceful escape from the everyday, while remaining within easy reach of Suffolk and Essex. It’s a place where the journey feels like part of the occasion, where countryside views set the scene, and where you and your guests can come together to celebrate somewhere truly special.

The Barn The Barn has lived many lives, from a machinery shed to housing farm animals, evolving through various extensions along the way. Now, we’re beginning its next chapter, thoughtfully restoring the building to preserve its character, celebrate its history and bring new life to its original charm. Exposed oak beams have each been inspected and restored to their former glory by our carpentry team. Guests will be able to spot original features from it’s working farm days; these include Suffolk Punch horse shoes, horse harnesses, a 30ft ladder, old horse carts, threshing machines and the infamous stamp on the beam recording work carried out on the farm back in 1929! The Barn is designed to accommodate 90 to 134 guests, with the flexibility to create a more intimate setting for smaller celebrations. The 15-foot-high, original double doors serve to create a grand entrance perfect for ceremonies, where you can watch your guests getting their first sight of you on your special day. The Barn can be used for a combination of ceremonies, seated formal dinners and dance floor. There is a balcony for speeches overlooking the barn. Next to the main barn, the old stable yard will serve as a sheltered courtyard for canapés. Bordering this, stables have been converted into The Bar, where we will soon have Braham Hall wine on offer alongside crowd favourites. These main areas are accessible for those with mobility needs, as are some of the accomodation cottages.
A vineyard setting like no other Planted in 2025, our 10-acre vineyard is growing alongside Braham Hall, bringing a distinctive touch of the Suffolk countryside to your wedding day. With rows of vines stretching across the landscape, the vineyard offers a beautiful setting for outdoor ceremonies, blessings and photographs. Imagine exchanging your vows beneath open skies, surrounded by the quiet beauty of the vines. As the vineyard grows, it will become an increasingly special part of the Braham Hall story- and a setting for memories to last a lifetime.

The Accomodation The Moathouse Our serene and beautifully appointed Moathouse Suite overlooks the moat, offering a peaceful space within the grounds. It is the perfect setting for the wedding party to gather, relax and get ready together before the celebrations begin. It also serves as an intimate retreat for the couple on their wedding night. Upstairs, the sun-soaked bedroom enjoys views of lily pads floating on the moat and hazel trees framing the island. Outside, a spacious private deck extends over the water, creating a secluded spot to pause, unwind and take in the peaceful surroundings. Inside, a dedicated dressing area with generous mirrors provides a lovely space for the wedding party to prepare together. A tranquil hideaway for the moments that matter, the Moathouse Suite offers a beautiful setting to begin your wedding celebrations and a memorable place to retreat to when the day is done.
The Guest Cottages For those looking to stay at the venue, our four guest cottages offer a peaceful retreat away from the bustle of the barn. Each cottage has its own character, with a comfortable double bedroom and well-equipped kitchenette, making them ideal for a relaxed stay within the grounds. Overlooking the island and moat, the cottages are surrounded by the sights and sounds of the countryside. Keep an eye out for the wildlife that calls the farm home- from birds and butterflies to our resident heron, who can often be spotted quietly surveying the water. Our five cottages The Old Forge, Toad Hill Cottage, The Cart Lodge, Briar Cottage and The Old Stable each offer a cosy and private base from which to enjoy the grounds, the celebrations and the surrounding countryside.

When not reserved for weddings, our guest accommodation and Moat House will be available to book for special stays.
