Greater Palm Springs is buzzing with exciting new developments and events for the LGBTQ+ community. This year brings new cultural landmarks, and a host of fresh businesses to explore.
For 2025, Palm Springs Pride will take place a week later than usual. The Halloween on Arenas block party will now lead directly into Palm Springs Leather Pride, which is scheduled from October 30 to November 2 with the theme “Gods of Leather.” Following this, the annual Palm Springs Pride celebration—featuring the theme “Be Heard”—will kick off, taking place from November 6-9 and will remain free to attend, reinforcing Palm Springs' reputation as a friendly, welcoming, and diverse city dedicated to the ongoing fight for equality. The Palm Springs Pride Equality Walk, scheduled for October 25, will raise money to support Palm Springs Pride and LGBTQ+ visibility and rights.
Adding to the city's LGBTQ+ friendly reputation, the Palm Springs City Council approved a landmark Pride Flagpole in the Arenas District. This prominent installation will feature the Gilbert Baker-designed Pride flag, an international symbol of LGBTQ+ rights. Approved alternative flags include the Transgender flag, Leather Pride flag, Bisexual Pride flag, and the State of California flag, with the U.S. flag displayed on specific national holidays.

What's New in Greater Palm Springs
This project, spearheaded by the Arenas District Merchants and managed by Palm Springs Pride, aims to attract visitors and reinforce Palm Springs' inclusive spirit.
The Palm Springs AIDS Memorial is also moving forward, with its new design approved by the Public Arts Commission and the Palm Springs City Council. Award-winning local artist Philip K. Smith III designed the sculpture pro bono. The memorial will feature three components: the site, the sculpture, and an online experience, with an unveiling aimed between late 2025 and Spring 2026, pending successful fundraising.
The Palm Springs Pride Monument will also debut this Fall in Frances Stevens Park near the Thompson Hotel.
Palm Springs is also set to host the 2025 IGLTA Global Convention at the Palm Springs Convention Center from October 21–25. The city is excited to host this premier educational and networking event for global LGBTQ+ tourism, underscoring its status as one of the most LGBTQ+ friendly cities in the world.

Saturdays are bustling with drag brunches and evening shows. Saguaro Palm Springs features a Drag Brunch hosted by Jasmin Masters, with doors opening at 11 am, and the event runs from 11 am–2 pm. Oscar's Downtown Palm Springs hosts its "Bitchiest Brunch" at 11 am, which is recognized as the longest-running 'Drag Brunch' in Palm Springs. Chill Bar Palm Springs offers "Not Your Grandma's Bingo!" every Saturday from 12:30–2:30 pm, featuring live vocal performances by Sabryna Williams and GoGo dance numbers. one eleven bar holds Drag Bingo every Saturday from 6–8 pm. Toucans Tiki Lounge presents "Kickxy Land" at 8 pm and 10 pm, hosted by drag legend Kickxy Vixen. Also at one eleven bar, "PowerHaus with Vanity Halston" at 9 pm showcases queens bringing powerhouse energy and sizzling style.

Boozehounds offers a "Sunday Tea 'n' Shade" drag lunch at 2 pm, featuring Sabryna Williams. Toucans Tiki Lounge hosts "Dreamgirls Revue," a drag spectacular with showtime at 7 pm. DICK'S hosts "Sundays with DJ Honey Davenport from RuPaul's Drag Race" from 7 pm–midnight.
Also: Drag n' Fly Tours is an entertaining sightseeing adventure hosted by a fabulous drag queen, featuring storytelling, music, videos, and live performances aboard a state-of-the-art mobile theater. Check the website for available times and days.
