QATAR WORLD CUP STADIUMS In 2021, Bradbury Group supplied HBK Contracting Co. W.L.L with over 600 M2M2 and M2M3 doors, for the FIFA World Cup stadiums in Qatar.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

THE CHALLENGE

The 2022 FIFA World Cup was the first tournament to be held in an Arab region. It took place across eight stadiums within a 21 mile radius, making it the only tournament where visitors could attend more than one match in a day.

Bradbury Group was approached by HBK Contracting Co. W.L.L. to supply over 600 doors with high levels of security and additional fire integrity.

The stadiums are linked by a Metro system and have a total capacity of just under 400,000 people, with each having their own different striking designs and features, such as solar forms for power, cooling systems or outdoor air conditioning.

The project required a quick turn around with a total requirement of 649 doors across the different stadiums; 422 SR2 Doors and 227 SR3 Doors, to be supplied directly to Qatar for installation. Due to the number of doors required, shipment was required via containers, which couldn’t be undertaken in-house due to restrictions on space.

“It was great to have played a part in such a pivitol global project. Seeing the stadiums come to fruition over the past year has been really exciting for the entire team.” Rosie McRobbie, International Business Development Manager, Bradbury Group
